Synopsis
He cannot remember his name, but now, he is a little grasshopper named System. Soon, he gets used to his new body and enjoys the life of jumping around in the forest freely... He is amazed that his little body can jump a few meters with a casual leap. One day, when System is having fun in the forest, a leaf falls from its branch. Autumn has come, and System's time is ticking away.
System needs to lengthen his short lifespan and survive in the Forest of Leyte. Luckily, he finds a way to manipulate an army of ants and now they are at his disposal... to fight bigger prey.

Mc has a system yes and the reason for the 'video game' tag is because apparently the author views the MC's life as a video game due the system. (Weird but okay) I have read 9 chapters but I wanted to share my opinion, so the world background I really can't tell anything but from what I read is that mc resides in a fantasy world with goblins and a burning boar? Also mc is a grasshopper that lost his memories from his past life and only can remember general knowledge. The higher level he is the more he will recall from his previous life. Story development is your usual level up and become stronger. Currently the mc is just surviving as a tiny grasshopper. Character design is a bit weird in my opinion. The way the story is told looks like the mc forgot everything, but he isn't. So you get sort of a vague feeling... It's not really in the way of your reading experience so dont worry. SoU: 5* - as always Translation Quality: 4.5 stars. There are minor instances of wrong names placed or commas. But I only saw 2 - 3 in 9 chapters and is barely noticeable. All in all, give it a try. I will first read 39 chapters before I go to my next novel!
I´m currently at chapter 40 and so far it has been pretty good. It reminds me of "Chrysalis" but slightly more ´realistic´ in terms of size and capabilities of the creatures.
Well, this novel is a bit interesting but also boring. It's quite literally as the synopsis says, except the Mc doesn't start controlling ants till over halfway in the current chapters. It's at this point that it gets very boring for me as I can pretty much tell what's going to happen next. Translation is not the best. It seems to be getting worse? It's readable but there are many tiny things like sentences structure and grammar that just don't make sense, no matter how you look at it. World Background.. I mean, it's on trials reads so I can't say much and I've only read like half too. So far, It's seems similar to the generic fantasy world with level system? Not tryn give too much spoilers, well, I mean, that was a big spoiler if you understand..yep Story development? Well, he levels up, eats crap. I've never saw him poopin tho..kinda dissapointed ngl. He learns to hunt stuff, pretty cool and all. Would I recommend this? Well, not really. It was interseting, but there wasn't much keeping me going.

this novel makes me think of the original "Chrysalis". except that the latter is free and much more advanced ... on the other hand, there are more comedies in it which may displease ... otherwise, since I have to rate this novel, it looks promising. So I hope to be able to read more ^^
idk i feel like the ppl who review thia very low really didn't read the story for the story. Besides the fact that the author ia using some random power trips to make the mc stronger without choice and some annoying af charcater i.e Spoiler: (*) the fact that he made an emotional scene about a grasshopper work pretty well speaks volumes on the novels potential. * the ice ability and that damn spirit who didnt let him choose to be in a contract
This is actually a pretty good story. It started up very slow. Very hard-working MC as a grasshopper climbing the food chain and emotional story telling that can make a man cried little bit .
Why is this removed in the Trial Read Section?!?!? I hope that this would return. Anyways, although the first chapters is repetitive, it explains the world he transported in while slowly making the main character a character(he now has a personali-insectality). It seems like he is the only one who has a system, but everyone and everything could evolve. Very little are known about the world's history yet but we do know that there are Gods, Magics and Demons. WHY DID I FORGET THE EVOLUTIONNNNN. A 5 out of 5.
After reading synopsis (I repeat after ONLY reading synopsis) the only thing that I wish to expect from this novel is that MC dose NOT return to being human again. Seriously, wild life is way more straightforward, honest and (if comparing from human's) relaxing. I know I am being selfish and does not flow logic or whatever, but that is my sincere wish.
Please return this to the Trial Read section. This novel is really good and although it is kind of slow at the beginning, it has really interesting elements. It wasn't in Trial for long and it deserves a second chance.

The story is slow, but well developed with logical growth. Our MC awakens as a grasshopper but with very few memories. However, it the only downside that throws me off is the name of the MC as system. It's hard at times to delve into because of that fact.
Can someone pls tell me chinese name of this novel? I would be very grateful ! And this story is a gem , hopefully Webnovel will pick this one!

It is slow at the early chapters but because of it, the author succesfully introduced our MC, World and the MC's powers. It has a very interesting concept because even though Zerg (Zergs is a playable race in an RTS game called Starcraft; they basically rely on their fast reproduction,huge numbers and fast evolution and they are also insects) Fanfictions are not rare, you can only find a good one once in a while and this novel I think will slowly steer into that direction. (I hope so)

pretty amazing novel especially the character development I hope this gets selected the premise is very fresh and the story is well done so more people should support it!
I must say it is surprisingly good. I know it is might be slow. Here are a few point I want to share: - This is world of magic. I suppose the "Video Game Tag" might be MC think he is transfer into game world full of magic - The world reveal its self as the story progress. It is a bit slow but I didn't mind it. - An insect can be intelligence well that's possible since it is world of magic. - He is in the bottom of the food chain but still he do his best to survive. - All living thing in this novel has special skill and can involve into higher creature. - As I read 60 chapters there are races: dragon, goblin, druid, human, spirit etc.
