Chapter 72: Closure?

" I have lost! I have lost to you." Enzo spoke as he looked into those eyes he always drowned into. The same one whose lights he dimmed with his cruelty and inhuman behavior.

Jasmine could utter nothing to his words. Their supposedly farewell dinner ended earlier than either of them anticipated. After her revelation, Enzo was out of it. He couldn't stop shaking all over.

At first, she had ignored him. A part of her enjoyed seeing him like that. He looked pathetic. Yet, the satisfaction she thought she would feel never came. Instead, worry took its place when she noticed his bleeding nose.

Jasmine forgot what she had in store for him and carefully moved towards him. She wrapped her arms around his shaking body. At this point, she didn't think as her hand caress his face. A tear slipped out of her eyes. She wasnt expecting to feel pained by his pain.
