Chapter 337: Epilogue

Plutus ascended to Olympus. He brought Elizabeth's soul to his grandfather. And kneeling before his grandfather in submission.

"Oh, welcome back grandson," Aether said smiling warmly.

"Grandfather thank you for granting my wish, I've brought Elizabeth.

"Remember, she does not possess a single Faith Point, she cannot become a goddess," Aether explained.

"I understand grandfather. I tried my best to help her breakthrough to Grandmaster, but she was unable to," Plutus understood.

There were three ways to become a god. First, was through manifestation. Spiritual energy would gather in a location and create a divine life form. The primordial gods were manifestations of their power.

Aether was the sky. Gaia was the earth. Pontus was water. And Nyx was darkness. All four were divine manifestations in a corporeal form. Manifest gods were the strongest.

The second way to become a god was by birth. Divinity could result from having two gods as parents, or one god as a parent. When a god and human, animal, Dyad, Nymph, or satyr had a child, the child could be born as a god, demigod, or mundane.

His older sister Persephone was the child of Zeus and Demeter, while Plutus was Philomelus were the children of Demeter and their human father Iasion. Children born by goddesses were gods, and children born by humans were demigods.

The last way to become a god was through ascension. Humans could become a god through cultivation. Cultivation was a difficult journey, but the rewards were fulfilling.

Cultivation was only for the daring, meditation alone wants not enough to ascend. A person would need fortuitous encounters, and overcome life endings hurtles, only to progress to the next realm and a new set of hurdles. It was s never-ending cycle until they became a god.

To become a god through cultivation one has to progress from Novice (0-25) to Journeyman (26-50), to Master (51-75), to Grandmaster (76-100), to Sage (101-125), to Hero (126-150) to Herald (151-175), to Demigod (176-200), to finally ascend and reach the Minor God (200-500) realm.

At the minor god realm, the cultivator needed to cultivate Faith Points, and compete against other minor gods for survival. Different fractions might go to war against one another. Or a stronger god might bully a weaker god. And the biggest bully and philanderer was Zeus.

That's why Plutus came to Aether. The safest way to help Elizabeth ascend to minor god while keeping it a secret was his grandfather.

"Okay let's examine her," Aether said stretching out his hands over Elizabeth's body.

Will waited patiently for his grandfather to finish.

"Good news, she has Faith Points. It seems those artists she patrons pray to her for thanks. Other artists hope to pray to her for financial support," he said grinning.

"Thank you, grandfather!" Plutus said with a bow.

"Ha-ha is nothing. We haven't had a new god for a while, this should be exciting!" he smiled and began pouring FP into Elizabeth.

Will watched as her soul ascended. Her soul broke through a grandmaster, sage, hero, herald, and demigod, and reached a minor god.

Will watched as Elizabeth's soul constructed a new corporeal body. He smiled at seeing her eyes open and look around curiously.

"Will, where am I, and who is this man?" she asked.

"Elizabeth this is my grandfather Aether, the god of the sky and ruler of Olympus. He helped you break through and become a minor god," Will explained.

"The Aether!" Elizabeth said in shock and prostrated herself on the ground.

"I like her," Aether chuckled. "Little goddess what shall you be called, and which grace shall you have authority over?"

"Greatest of the gods, Please choose for me," Elizabeth said.

"Hmm…based on your faith points…You are Elisávet, the 10th muse, the goddess of patronage. Let all the gods rejoice for a new goddess that has been born!" Aether said sending his voice through Olympus.

"Thank you, grandfather! We must hurry Elisávet!" Plutus said bowing to his grandfather before teleporting to Cockaigne.

When they arrived, Elisávet looked at the planet. She wasn't sure why, but the planet felt like Will.

Will welcome her to Olympus and explain the rules and whatnot. He explained why he brought her here, and what she needs to do to grow in power.

"If giving someone access to your planet is so dangerous why'd you give me access?" Elisávet said goading Plutus.

"Because I love you. Now let's move—" Plutus was stopped by a kiss from Elisávet.

"Okay, like I was saying you needed to build your realm to collect Faith Points, or you'll die," Plutus explained.

"So how do I get a realm?" Elisávet

"You need to purchase one with Faith Points, but you also need to spend Faith Points to help artists find patrons. The more artists pray to you, the more Faith Points you earn," Plutus explained a second time.

"If I don't have enough Faith Points, what should I do?" Elisávet asked.

"Well, I took the liberty of purchasing you a small white moon that orbits my realm, I'll also loan you some Faith Points. But I expect you to pay me back with interest!" Plutus said adamantly.

"Of course, dear," Elisávet said dismissively now can you show me our family?"

From Cockaigne, they watched Camille, Edward, Liam, Lily, and Huang living their lives. Camille lived in the Mueller Duchy with her six children.

Edward was sitting in the Finance Minister's office talking to King William I. Their youngest children were playing a game in the castle.

Lily sat in Royal Academy's Dean's Office where she was reading and writing another manuscript. She was the author of several books, the large majority about her father, the rest covered history, economics, and political philosophy.

They also saw Marcus and Cherry two children on some adventure. Oldest was slender, pretty like her mother, and looked just as dangerous. The youngest was a giant bulky boy who lumbered through the forest with the grace of a grizzly.

Katherine's middle managed a truck dealership in the Northern region, while his oldest brother managed the Ming Estate. And her youngest daughter, she had Earl von Hanover was happily married in Tirana.

They saw Jason's oldest son managing the viscounty, and the middle son managing the winery. And his daughters had children of their own. The same went for Elizabeth's sisters Emma and Emilia.

True to his word, when Plutus returned to Terra, built Jason a winery and resort. He built a small dam next to the lodge and installed indoor lighting.

When he finished, he explained to Jason, how he could earn more money by giving visitors tours of the vineyards, letting visitors harvest grapes, and giving wine tastings.

"Elisávet, are you satisfied? You need to focus on growing stronger, so you may live for eternity," Plutus cautioned her.

"I understand," she said crying as she looked at her children and grandchildren going about their daily lives.

"Elisávet, what shall you name your planet?" Will asked.

"Patreon," she said distractedly.

"Very Well it's done. You can go there now. Remember do not let another god or goddess visit your planet unless you trust them, and when you live forever, trust is like shifting sand." Will explained.

"Will—sorry Plutus, promise me you'll watch over our children and grandchildren?" Elisávet asked sincerely.

"I promise. Now we need to get to work increasing our faith points," Will explained.

To honor their parent ascension, Edward, King William I, Lily, and Camille constructed a 182-meter-tall statue of Aether in Kukes. Which they unveiled at 375th World Economic Summit. Completing their father's pilgrimage trail.

For millions of years, Plutus and Elisávet worked together. They grew their dynasties to rival that of Zeus and Hera.

Where modern planets forgot about the old gods of antiquity, currency and patronage stood the test of time.

As currency moved from physical to digital, there remained people praying for money and wealth, and to protect their investments. Likewise, patronage moved from patron to artist, from crowdfunding to artists, and artists still prayed for patrons.

As their faith points grew so did their love. Plutus and Elisávet's love rivaled the greatest love stories of all time.
