"What do I need to drink then, master?" I asked curiously while the old hag gave me a brighter smile.
"Gengar go get the goods." The old hag said then Gengar came out of her shadow. The Gengar then turned into a black shadow, and quickly got out of the room.
"Let's wait for Gengar to get it. It will take only a few seconds for him to return, oh here he is right now." The old hag said then Gengar appeared behind her again. This time Gengar was bringing a huge black bag.
"What's the bag for, master? I though that I'll just drink something? Do I need to drink many for my Spirit Body to activate?" I asked curiously.
"Yes. Go open it yourself, you'll see the surprise I have for you." She said. I nodded then moved towards the bag to open it.
Once I open it though, I regretted it. The bag was containing a transparent container, and the container has full of red liquid. But the most disgusting thing I see was some body parts inside the container. The body parts came from the human body. It has a heart, fingers, some eyeballs, and other body parts.
"What the hell-?"
"Hahahahahahahaha! Got you surprised didn't you?" The old hag said making me frown at her.
"I'll drink this? Why should I drink blood from humans? Is cannibalism a part of the clan? Could I not drink this, master?" I asked with disgust.
"Pfft! Gengar stop the illusion already. The kid might throw up in here." Old hag said then Gengar laughed with her. I looked at them curiously then looked at the container again.
The container now was gone, and was replaced with a glass tube. The tube has red liquid with it. It looks like blood, and my body was reacting like it wants me to drink it immediately.
"You're feeling the pull, right? This is blood from your clansmen. Well, technically it is and it's not. We do the clan trials since the body we have can help a special tree on the main clan grow a special fruit. We call the special tree as Balete Tree while the fruit is called Balete Fruit. This is the juice from the Balete Fruit. The Balete Tree only grows one single fruit for each dead body it feeds. Also, the Balete Tree won't grow any fruit if the clan feeds it the body from those that are not from our clan members." The old hag explains.
"So, you can see why we do the clan trials, and letting you kill one another. The one who fails or die will be sacrificed to let the one who survives gain the Spirit Body. It's a trial for those who are worthy to gain the unique power we have." The old hag continued.
"Then how did you manage to get this one, master? It's precious enough that others should not be given this." I asked her.
"Yes, it's special but my connection is great enough for me to ask for one. Have anymore questions?" The old hag replied.
"Does this Balete Fruit juice work from people outside our clan, master?" I asked the old hag.
"Of course not, the Balete Fruit is only beneficial for out clan. It only awakens our hidden power, and not help those people outside of our clan. This is also the reason why others don't give too much importance to it. Also, our power is not that precious compared to psychic powers and aura powers. Those two super powers are the center of attention, and ours is just covered from the limelight because of them." The old hag explained while I nodded.
"Are you ready to drink it?" The old hag asked.
"Yes, master." I said with seriousness, and opened the cover from the tube. I then immediately drank the contents after.
"Wow! It did not have any side effects from drinking thi-" I was saying but was cut off since my vision immediately went off then my body got heavy. The next after that, I got knocked off.

Moi's Point of View
The kid just drank the contents without even asking me what are the side effects. I now question myself if I made the right choice in choosing him as my disciple. His pokemon was panicking around once they saw the situation.
"You two, calm down. You're trainer is fine, and noting bad will happen to him. Gengar go pick the kid up. Put him in one of the rooms but don't do a prank of putting him in Myne's room. You know that Myne will kill the poor kid if you do that." I told him but not forgetting to warm him to not prank the kid anymore.
Gengar just laughed then lifted the kid then left after. While that was happening, I'm thinking about if I made the right choice.
"Did I make a right choice? He won't die from the disciple fight in the future, right? Being old really made me soft." I said then sigh while pondering about the past.
Would my husband like what I did? I only did this to protect the last family I have. I can't lose Myne. I can't lose one more family member.
Being able to survive at this current generation is great but also a curse. I saw my husband die infront of me. I saw my daughter and son-in-law die by the hands of the Unova knights. I can't let my granddaughter to also have the same fate. At the very least, I want to die first before my granddaughter does.
I can only hope that the war ends, and our clan's custom will change. Being able to see this kid, Rem, made me have hope that things will change in the future.
The kid's talent is great, and he has a chance in getting the patriarch position in the main clan. I'll make sure he does but first I have to ensure that he has the will to change the clan's custom.
I already found out about his and Liz's wish to get out of the clan's rule. I instead will make him stay in the clan, and make him rule it. I want him to change the clan, and fulfill my dream of not having anymore needed bloodshed even if it will cost the clan members to not gain the special power we have.
