Chapter 28: Moves
"WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT?" Fourth Elder asked in shock as he felt the bloodlust from the aura. It wasn't an aura that was meant to crush him or be overbearing but to instead express the pure anger that none of the elders had ever felt before.
Among those present, there was someone who had a much different reaction than the rest. That person was Noel who had a dark frown on her face. She knew exactly who was unleashing such an aura based on the fact the dark Qi inside her was raging like an angry monster.
Noel was much more affected than the rest of those present because her body was reacting to the Qi. During the last day, she had already had to restrain herself multiple times from rushing in and being with James.
She kept telling herself that it was for the greater good of his future and that he should be left to do the test. If she rushed in just to be with him then the elders present would not let that slide and disqualify him.
However, despite her allowing him to continue she couldn't help but desire and crave his touch. Even his presence would be more than enough to help the aching part of her heart. If she had known that he was longing for her just as much as she was for him then she might have really given in to her desires and gone after him.
'James w-what is happening to you?' Noel thought to herself as she grabbed her own leg and forced herself to sit down. The anger that James was exuding made her feel comfortable as if he was defending her with all his might. It was a feeling that was making her want to rush beside him and fight alongside him.
"If a beast with that kind of aura is in the forest then we need to cancel the test!" Third Elder said impatiently as he thought about the many Disciples that were out in the forest.
Some of the other elders began nodding their heads in agreement and almost started leaving when Noel whispered something in the Matriarch's ear.
"All of you calm down! The situation is under control we have already sent people out there and it should be resolved shortly." The Matriarch suddenly said bringing attention to herself.
Second Elder was surprised by her response and quickly questioned it, "What do you mean handled? How could you send people already when it happened only a few minutes ago?" Second Elder questioned in confusion.
"This was something me and the Patriarch have been looking into so we have been keeping it closely monitored. It's a type of beast that isn't usually seen around these parts but we will be taking it out shortly so don't worry." Matriarch said with a smile as Patriarch Colton also nodded his head in agreement.
The Elders were a little unhappy that neither of their leaders had informed them on the matter but at least were glad that the people under them would be alright.
As the elders were going to ask some more questions the aura that was pressing them suddenly disappeared leaving them all a little confused.
"Ah, it seems our people have subdued the creature. Please relax as we will all get to take a look at it soon." The Matriarch said as she stood up smiling at the people present.
With this, the elders couldn't ask any more questions so they continued their night along with Noel who was clawing at herself to go after James.

On the other side of the sect inside of James' house, there was a girl sitting in the corner of the living room using a sword to carve something into the wall over and over again.
If one looked closely one would see the message.
'James James James James James James James James James James James James James James James James James James James James James James James James James James James James James James James James James James James James'
The person in question was Cara and she was currently rocking back and forth with the thought of James in her mind.
However, when she felt the angry aura of James crossing throughout the sect she didn't sit still. She could no longer hold back her desire to see James despite it only being one day.
For some reason the more the black Qi grew inside her the less time she was able to spend away from James increasing her addiction toward him to a new degree.
With this feeling, Cara finally gave up when she felt the aura of James. She quietly stood up from her spot and looked in his direction with red eyes before disappearing from the scene.
As Cara made her way toward the forest the elders thought that the aura of Cara was from one of the people the Matriarch had sent while the Matriarch thought it was something to do with what Noel mentioned to her.

Like this, the night went on and it soon turned to day.
During this time James had continued running and was now only a few hours away from the center of the forest.
He could now make out the center from the river which seemed to be a large stage with surrounding seats. It almost looked like an arena in some ways.
'I wonder what its purpose is.' James thought to himself as he finally sat down to take a rest. He couldn't really picture a reason for it to be so grand considering they were only supposed to meet there but he guessed he would find out in due time.
It had been a long day and night for James and since he had slightly calmed down the tiredness in his body was starting to overtake him.
Due to this he quickly tried to find a place nearby to camp while he rested before he made the final stretch to the center. After searching for a few minutes he finally found an adequate tree that had a branch up higher big enough to hold his body snugly.
James then went up there without hesitation and let the tiredness overtake his body as he fell asleep.
