Last Future's Chat Group Chapter 3 - Getting To Know One Another

Just by looking at the names of the people of this chat group, he had a feeling that they were all certainly going to be an interesting set of characters. Whether or not their names truly reflected who they were or are just fancy names, he wasn't entirely sure.

With the first person, he knew that a hikikomori was pretty much another term for someone that preferred to avoid an social contact. Which was kind of ironic considering the fact that they had just joined this chat group, a place for people to communicate with one another.

Alongside that, he wasn't entirely sure what it meant by the term 'Bear Girl'. Did the name make reference to the fact that this person was a female bear, or just a girl that really liked bears? Maybe it was none of those and she was given that name for other reason.

Anyway, moving onto the next person. From the name alone, Yamato's interest was instantly grabbed. If this person was indeed a god in the literal sense, then perhaps he could provide Yamato with a good fight. He was pretty much another version of Sakamaki Izayoi, he wanted a good challenge to put these powers to the test.

Speaking of that, Yamato had been practising martial arts to go along with these incredible powers of his. Izayoi was a character, who at the start of the story, only relief on brute force instead of technique. Yamato was quite confident he could destroy Izayoi in a hand-to-hand fight if he ever met the guy, especially if it was Izayoi at the beginning of the story.

Anyway, back to the members. Yamato was indeed curious to find out if this individual was truly a god, and to see just how strong they were. He wasn't sure what a God of Contracts was supposed to do, but they were a god nonetheless, so they must have some considerable power.

Onto the next member, he wasn't quite sure what to think honestly. From the name alone, the person was probably a shy individual, along with possibly being royalty from the 'princess' part of their name. Unless that part was just supposed to be some kind of joke to describe their character.

For the 'Scarlet' part of their name, he was clueless.

Moving onto the last person, just like with the God of Contracts, Yamato was instantly interested as it stated that they were a 'Demon King'. For someone to have that kind of title, they must be someone strong. Unless it was just a bunch of freaking hot air and it was just that, a nickname. The 'Part Timer' section of their name was weird though.

'Part Timer? Like as in a part-time worker?' Yamato couldn't help but raise an eyebrow in confusion when he read the name of the last member to have joined. 'It is the Omniverse, it is most certainly a vast and mysterious place...'

『Hikikomori Bear Girl: Hello?』

『God of Contracts: Greetings, otherworlders. It would seem that we all have found ourselves in quite the interesting situation』

『Part Timer Demon King: Yeah... So, a chat group that connects different realities, huh? Even a Demon King such as myself am quite surprised. Well, I guess it's nice to meet you all』

『Shy Scarlet Princess: Nice to meet you all as well. Is this thing about other worlds actually real?』

『God of Contracts: It would seem to be the case. How this is the case, I am not quite sure』

『Hikikomori Bear Girl: We can just ask the admin, it seems that they're online as well. They'll probably have the answers we need』

『Part Timer Demon King: Agreed. Perhaps they were the one that created this chat group thing in the first place』

Yamato stared at the conversation that was happening on the holographic screen, and he had already noticed quite a number of things from their short conversation. First was that most of them weren't at all that doubtful about other realities, all of them, except for the Shy Scarlet Princess girl had not sent any kind of message that doubted the chat group's words.

From that alone, he could tell that this princess girl was either not at all affiliated with the supernatural, or just had a very narrow-minded view of possibilities. Another thing could be that the other members were doubtful and were just refraining from saying anything on the matter.

Also, this Shy Scarlet Princess girl wasn't really shy from what he could tell from that message alone. Though, this was a chat group, so it would be kind of ridiculous if she acted shy when messaging through text. She was most likely shy in a face to face conversation or something.

Anyway, from the looks of it, they were waiting for him.

『Last Future [Admin]: It's nice to meet you all. Unfortunately, I am in the same position as all of you. I was invited to this chat group in, most likely, the same manner as the rest of you. I am as clueless as the rest of you are for who invited us』

『God of Contracts: I see, that is quite unfortunate indeed. We do not have a full perspective on what this chat group's purpose is, nor why we were chosen to join』

『Hikikomori Bear Girl: I'm just as curious as to this thing as the rest of you, but is there a way we can change our names? It's kind of a pain seeing our ridiculous nicknames...』

『Shy Scarlet Princess: I agree, I'm feeling entirely exposed with this name』

『Part Timer Demon King: Does that mean you're an actual princess?』

『Sky Scarlet Princess: Yes...』

『Shy Scarlet Princess: Wait, does that mean you guys are all exactly what your names say you are?!』

『God of Contracts: Indeed, I am one of the seven archons. I would assume the same can be said for the others with their names being true, such as the Demon King』

『Part Timer Demon King: Yep, bona fide Demon King here』

『Hikikomori Bear Girl: I'm not a bear, just a girl in a bear costume』

『Shy Scarlet Princess: Eh, really?!』

『Shy Scarlet Princess: Wait, why the bear costume???』

『Hikikomori Bear Girl: We don't talk about that』

『Hikikomori Bear Girl: What about you, admin? I can't really determine anything with a name like 'Last Future', it's kinda mysterious』

『God of Contracts: I do not believe so, it still says that they are present here within the chat group』

『Kurenai Yamato [Admin]: My apologies, I was just trying to figure out how to change my name. Anyway, my nickname stemmed from the nature of my powers. Don't mind about it too much』

『Zhongli: Now that we have managed to change our names. I believe it will be proper etiquette for all of us to take turns introducing ourselves. Why don't you start, admin?』

『Kurenai Yamato [Admin]: Very well, I am the admin after all. My name is Kurenai Yamato, you all may call me Yamato or Kurenai, do as you please. I am a high-school student with a more than unique kind of power, and I love to have a good battle. It's a pleasure to meet all of you』

『Zhongli: Interesting. Your name is quite similar to those that hail from Inazuma, that is rather interesting. In fact, I can see that a number of you, if not all of you, have names that portray themselves as similar to that of Inazuma』

『Sadao Maou: Inazuma?』

『Sakurada Akane: As in lightning?』

『Yuna: ???』

『Zhongli: My apologies, I had forgotten for a second that we all hail from separate realities. Inazuma is one of the nations that make up the world in which I come from, a place that is under the rule of the Raiden Shogun』

『Kurenai Yamato [Admin]: Interesting. Why don't you introduce yourself next then?』

『Zhongli: Very well, it's a pleasure to meet all of you. I previously went by the name of both Morax and Rex Lapis, the God of Contracts, also known as the Geo Archon. I am one of the seven gods that reside of Teyvat, the world in which I live. You all may call me simply as Zhongli』

『Yuna: A real god, huh? That's cool』

『Sadao Maou: I've met a few gods before in my lifetime, but it's interesting to meet a god from an entirely different reality』

『Sadao Maou: I suppose I'll go next. I am the Demon King of a world known as Ente Isla, and as my name suggests, I rule over demons. I am currently working at MgRonald's. My true name is Satan Jacob, but I am now going under the name of Sadao Maou. A pleasure to meet you all』

『Sakurada Akane: A real Demon King, and a god? This is unreal...』

『Yuna: MgRonald's? You're a Demon King and working at a popular fast-food chain?』

『Sadao Maou: I have my circumstances』

『Kurenai Yamato [Admin]: We won't ask. Every has their reasons for their actions』

Yamato was honestly a bit confused as well, why was a Demon King working at a popular fast-food chain? It was probably the rip-off version of McDonald's back in his old world, hell, even this new world he was reborn in also had their own rip-off version. It was called WcDonald's.

Anyway, it seems that the introductions were continuing.

『Yuna: I guess I'll go next』

『Yuna: My name is Yuna, and as you have seen before, I am a hikikomori. I am currently living in a world where magic and more exist. If you're curious for why I was called 'Bear Girl', I wear a bear costume. Nice to meet you all』

『Kurenai Yamato [Admin]: I won't question the bear costume part, but I did notice you said 'currently', does that mean you didn't live in that world previously?』

『Zhongli: +1』

『Sadao Maou: +1』

『Akane Sakurada: +1』

『Yuna: Very observant of you』

『Yuna: It's true that I didn't previously live in this world, I actually lived in a normal modern Japan. The only reason I am now in this world is because I was isekaied』

『Sakurada Akane: Isekaied? As in the isekai anime genre?』

『Zhongli: Isekai?』

『Kurenai Yamato [Admin]: To put it simply, it refers to the situation where someone is transported from their own world to a separate one』

『Zhongli: I see, that is rather interesting』

『Sadao Maou: Does that mean I was isekaied?』

『Yuna: What do you mean?』

『Sadao Maou: Well, I was kind of transported from Ente Isla here to Japan. I did so voluntarily though, so does that still count as being isekaied?』

『Kurenai Yamato [Admin]: Yeah, I'd say that counts』

『Kurenai Yamato [Admin]: Let's move on though. Why don't you introduce yourself now, Akane』

『Sakurada Akane: Okay!』

『Sakurada Akane: I am the fourth oldest child of the Sakurada family, the royal family of Japan. My father is the king and helps keep everything in order. My name is Sakurada Akane, you can call me Akane though! I also have the power to manipulate gravity around myself as well as anyone or anything I touch』

『Zhongli: That is an interesting ability. I can't say I have ever heard of someone possessing such an ability before in all years』

『Yuna: Royal family?』

『Kurenai Yamato [Admin]: Your Japan has a royal family? And your father is the king?』

『Sakurada Akane : Yeah, that's right. Do your versions of Japan not have a royal family?』

『Kurenai Yamato [Admin]: No, we do. Though, I can't really speak for Yuna. From what you're saying, your father has quite the influence and power over things that happen. In my world, there is an imperial family, though the government mostly runs the country』

『Yuna: I never really cared that much to know』

『Sakurada Akane: I see...』

『All members have gotten well acquainted with one another! It's good to see that everyone is getting along just fine. You will be issued missions at random times, so be prepared for when that happens. To spice things up a little bit, here is a list of all the members in order from the strongest to the weakest currently in the ground』

Yamato blinked in confusion when he saw the sudden announcement from the chat group, and the others were no doubt the same as everyone had stopped sending messages. They were either still reading what was just announced, or were frozen in surprise.

Soon enough, a list soon appeared in front of him right beside the chat group box.
