Chapter 80: Wet

By the time Rhys and Beatrix got home, it was raining heavily. 

Beatrix groaned; she knew it was going to be hard for her to get to the front door. She was drunk and could barely stand on her feet.

She held onto the car door as she stumbled her way out, balancing herself on the door before she slammed it behind her. 

She tried to walk towards the entrance, but she stumbled and nearly fell to the ground. She caught herself by reaching out her arms and managed to avoid falling on her face. 

She heard a car door slam, and within seconds she felt Rhys reach down and grasped her around her upper thighs , near her hips as he lifted her off the ground and held her close to his chest. 

Beatrix squealed in surprise and relaxed when she realized that Rhys was carrying her bridal style. She flushed and wrapped her hands around his neck for stability.
