Chapter 91: Gifts for her

"Good morning." Nian Tian opened her eyes, feeling disturbed because of Mu Yuehan's intense gaze. Her voice was hoarse because of all the screaming which she did last night.

"How are you feeling?" he tucked her hair behind her ears and looked at her with gentleness.

Nian Tian moved her legs and replied truthfully. "Sour, very sour. Also, tired."

She nudged her head against his chest and closed her eyes. Mu Yuehan took a deep breath and closed his eyes. His demon was again on the surface, ready to claim her but she needed rest.

"I have a gift for you." He spoke, in an attempt to divert his mind.

"What's it?" she asked and raised her head from his chest.

Mu Yuehan moved. He opened the bedside drawer. He retrieved a jewellery box and placed it in front of Nian Tian's eyes.

Nain Tian's breath hitched when she looked at the jewellery box. Fear and nervousness appeared in her eyes.
