Chapter 19: Chapter 19- Loot

Since the other party was just a brat, he thought that he could coerce him by saying something intimidating like that. Of course, it was all a lie, he was just trying to stall for some time.

If he could delay the brat for a few more minutes he would be able to gather enough energy to use that battle skill once again. However, he didn't think that the brat would be unfazed by his threats and decisively go for another kill.

Whoosh… Yang Chen disappeared causing the remaining four hunters to look around them in panic. Just when a hunter thought that he was safe, Yang Chen appeared behind them and swiftly pierced the other guy's neck.

"Careful!!" Li Hao who saw Yang Chen appear behind his comrade issued out a warning but it was too late.

Blood dripped from the blade of his sword as Yang Chen slowly pulled it away from the hunter's neck.

"Kukuku… do they really think you are that stupid? This is a jungle, the territory of the demonic beasts. Murder like that is a common occurrence here, nobody would bat an eye even if they saw their bodies" Amon who was hanging around Yang Chen, commented.

This little demon was only visible to him, hence the hunters couldn't see it, far less hear its ridicule.

After Yang Chen quickly killed two of their members, the remaining three grouped together. They were afraid that they would be the next target of that blade.

"Le-Leader what should we do?" Liu Chong, the tall lanky hunter asked with a trembling voice.

The brat that they had used as their scapegoat to escape from the Five Horned Demonic Rhino came back to take revenge on them. At this moment, they felt extremely bitter in their stomach. However, there was no medicine for regret.

Yet the next second he was amazed to find that the guy with the beard, who should have been attacking him together, suddenly turn around and swiftly flee, leaving behind his two companions.

The guy that fled, was also the leader of this band. Yang Chen was shocked but compared to Liu Chong and the other hunter, it was nothing. The both of them had a stunned pale face as they saw their leader tucking his tail and running away after giving them that order.

They looked lost for a while before gritting their teeth and attacking Yang Chen wildly. Now that the situation had come to this, they could only go all out.

However, how could two Six Star Battle Apprentices who were already extremely tired, be a match for Yang Chen who was brimming with energy?

He quickly knocked away their swords and using his sharp attacks it didn't take much time for him to kill them off.

"Damn, the other guy got away" Yang Chen spat out after seeing that the leader of the band was out of his sight. Even if he gave chase now, it was unlikely that he would be able to find him in this vast star fall jungle and that too in the middle of the night.

The person who would have otherwise provided the biggest points out of the five, got away. Yang Chen felt bitter in his heart.

Nevertheless, it didn't last long when his gaze went towards the menu or more specifically the notification that was hanging around by the corner of his menu.

He got a total of 1400 points from killing four of them. It was quite a lot when you consider that the five people he had killed in the Yang Manor, only provided him around 100 points each.

Amon's words were true, the lives of these hunters were far more valuable than those bullies. Additionally, he also came to realise that the stronger the guy he killed, the more mischief points he would be able to collect.

Yang Chen licked his lips when he thought about that. With the addition of 1400 and the previous 500 mischief points, the total points that Yang Chen had collected was over 1900 poits.

"Collecting mischief points this way is far easier than levelling up"

The experience bar that indicated his next level up, only reached half after killing those four people. This told him that it was not so easy to level up, Yang Chen was only able to level up to a Seven Star battle Apprentice so fast because his level was low.

As he gradually started rising to a higher level, the experience points needed was also multiplying.

Realising this, Yang Chen sighed and shrugged his shoulders. There was nothing he could do about it, but continue his hunting and hope that he could fill it up gradually.

Yang Chen turned around and looked at the four bodies lying on the ground. A deep stab wound was on their necks from which blood flowed out continuously. The scent of blood was strong here, and the demonic beasts who were sensitive to such smell would quickly swarm this place.

He couldn't stay here for long, Yang Chen quickly got to work. He took their weapons, stripped one of the guys whose clothes were relatively unspoiled and hurriedly changed into that. These were all his loot.
