Chapter 1: strange case to solve
I have always believed in a quote about how people meet their destiny on the road they took to avoid , just like what happened to me that day.
"i can not beleive you still live in this small office of yours"
In the begining i was thinking that my perfect little sister came only to disturb me again. she is my mother is favourite daughter.
i mean she is pretty, sweet, smart, whom would not want a daughter like her.
"qiao yi, what are you doing here?" I can not help but yell at her face wheneverer i see her.
"i beleive you will not chase me away once you see who is with me"
"honestly it has been months since the last time we saw each other and yet you still insist on being as annoying as ever"
I have been avoiding her for years now. since i am tired of trying my best to gain my mother is approval only to make myself look worse and worse, no matter how hard i am working i never felt like i belong to that family.
"you are my sister.. yet you do not care about me all you do is complain about everything i am doing"
"you better watch your attitude, if you still need to spy on me and report to my mother after all"
But still if i had to say the truth, my sister could be the only one that actually cares about me, since she is the only one that supports me no matter what.
"it's not like i am doing anything bad... i was the first person who knew about your ambition to solve cases, so i just thought..."
"... i'm done talking, don't come here anymore"
Qiao yi sighed and got up, she told the guy to come inside and to close the door behind him. I did not notice from afar but this guy seems to be rich with his Beard, tattoos, signatured clothes and the two bodyguards waiting for him outside he is giving off the gangster is vibe.
I wonder how could he possibly be related with someone like qiao yi.
"so.. what brings you here?" I asked with a serious expression.
"I heard from your sister that you solved some complicated cases recently, so i came to meet you, maybe you will be of help and show me your skills" .
"i do not kill people, i do not kidnap people, i do not steal and my sister likes girls you do not have to waste your time here.. "
my sister then came towards me, and dragged me out of the office.
" where are you taking me?!"
"i told you thousands of times do not bring people like that to me!!"
she stopped near her car just to warn me
"as you can see this guy right here is dangerous he came to my work place espacially looking for you, he said that he asked arround and found out that i am your sister.."
she pointed at the bag he keeps holding.. It seems to contain something precious.
"what is in his bag? drugs?? bomb??".
"calm down, he showed me earlier.. his bag contains a lot of money.."
the guy kept looking at us with confusion written on his face.
"qiao er, i don't know him nor his background, but he got money, you need to listen to him so please do not say something stupid again"
her tone had a bit of fear in it.. she looks really stressed and tired, my sister usually does not show any sign of weakness, they must be hidding something.
"bye then, i am not that busy with work if anything.."
i waved goodbye and headed back there..
"so, what brings you here?"
"i am here for buisness, it's not killing nor stealing , i just need you to find someone for me." he clarified with a low calming tone. Yet, the gun i noticed and the bag full of money made me feel uneasy.
"it must be a difficult issue that even a powerful person like you, ca not seem to find that person."
"this really is not easy but as long as you can solve it, i can give you double the money.."
"what is the story behind this person??"
"i live in a small village in the borders of the city, it has always been safe there but suddently someone started kidnapping the kids of the village leaving the villagers live in worry and despair"
normal people would go straightforward to the police and tell them about what happened, from what he said he seems to be lying about or hiding something from me. He is saying the mysterious guy kidnapped the children from their homes without anyone suspecting it, he also made the kids disappear without anyone noticing.
"what is your name mister...?"
"you can call me mr Di.. huang Di"
i nodded my head and asked about what i should do later, those people does not even care about kids, let alone a weak girl like me i must stay quiet and follow their instructions to get out of here safe, just what kind of trouble did my sister bring me this time.
"we need to head to the village"
"sure"
