Joe's plan is to attend the Hail Magic Academy when he turns 15 years old as this is the minimum age required by the academy and the reason. By joining the academy he could then join the army and be promoted to an officer quickly. The main purpose of the academy is to recruit well-talented individuals and train them so they can be the future pillars of the kingdom. Joe had planned to attend the academy so he could join the army and be promoted to a higher position and by that he would get a noble title.
The next day Joe went to the guild and accepted a new mission, this time it was to be an escort for an alchemist to the southern part of the forest. As a C rank hunter, Joe was qualified to perform this task individually. Joe then went to the alchemist's shop to confirm the job. They both decided to set off the next day.
After a while, Joe went to the Blacksmith shop to get his swords sharpened and armor maintained. But on the way to the blacksmith, he was stopped by a young man who was wearing expensive clothes and accompanied by three guards. From this attire, we can conclude that he is a nobleman.
"Hey Joe, Do you have any plans for the next week ?" the nobleman asked.
"No, Sir John why do you ask ?" Joe replied with a smile.
"I want you to guard our group, Me and my friends are planning to go for a hunt in the eastern part of the forest" The nobleman John explained.
"Should I recruit more manpower from the guild ?" Joe asked.
"No, There are guards from our families with us I recruited you because you know the terrain and I trust you," John said with a smile.
"So how much are you willing to pay ?" Joe asked.
"The standard pay for a C rank hunter and additional payment if there are any unexpected events," John said.
" Sure just inform me when you guys are ready" saying that Joe left the group and went straight to the blacksmith.
'Hmm something tells me you are about to be unlocked on this trip he rubbed the ring on his finger and thought to himself.
