Chapter 70: The Black Cat, Part Five

As soon as the men were out of the store, giving their thanks and running away like they had fire on their heels, Zenith pulled her phone out. 

It rang a couple of times and then the man picked up. 

"Zenith?" 

"Damian," Zenith answered. "They're saved... Most of them, anyway." 

"Really?" 

[Heh, he sounds just as surprised as I felt when I saw them.] 

The fact that they were alive could be called nothing but an actual miracle. 

"Wow. I... Well done!" Damian chuckled. 

"My reward." 

"Right, right, yes. I'll be at the temple all day. Come get it whenever you want to." 

"I'll be there soon." 

Zenith hung up. 

"Alright, good shit, everyone," Zenith told the girls, pulling their attention off the loot they'd been absent-mindedly grabbing off the shelves and bodies. "I'm going to head over to the Blades of the Church's temple next. Who's coming?"
