Chapter 7: Haki
Third person P.O.V
"Oh! You are awake, Mori" a gentle voice entered Mori's ears when he opened his eyes, which he recognised as Makino's voice.

Mori slowly tried to get up but felt pain all over his body. So he lied down again.

"Don't push yourself, Mori. You need to rest, atleast for few more days. Your injuries will take time to heal." Makino said in a stern voice.

" Wait! where is Fitz? I need to find him." Mori asked, worry evident in his voice.
"Are you talking about the animal that Luffy found with you? It's ok, Luffy also brought it here with you. I have treated it's wounds, it's ok now." Makino said trying to calm Mori down.

"So, it's Luffy who rescued me. I told him not to follow me. But this time I am glad he did. Otherwise I would've been eaten by some animal in the jungle." Mori mumbled to himself.
"Makino, how long have I been passed out for?" Mori asked Makino. To which she replied that it's been a day and half.
.....
"Now I need you to tell me what happened and don't try to hide anything from me." Makino asked in a authoritative voice.
"Sigh! This will be a headache." Mori muttered to himself, before starting to explain everything to Makino.

" This is quite dangerous, Mori! Wouldn't the government come after you after this incident? What if they try to harm you?" Makino exclaimed, seemingly worried about Mori.
" Nah. That guy was being hunted by world government. So they wouldn't care even if he died." Mori told Makino, while trying to calm her down.
"That's a relief then now rest for a while..." Makino was in middle of her speach when the door to the room suddenly opened with a Bang! Luffy crashed through the door while riding Fitz.
" Mori you are awake! Shi shi shi shi!" Luffy exclaimed while grinning stupidly.
While Fitz jumped over Mori and started to lick Mori's face.
"Sigh! There goes my rest." Mori muttered to myself.

First person P.O.V
Some time later, after everyone left my room to do their own work, I started to check the system.

Looks like my stats increased after a life and death battle. But the best thing that happen to me was unlocking my conqueror's haki. I always knew I have it because it's basically a Monkey family privilege. But knowing and unlocking it, is a totally different matter. Now that I have it, my resolve is now firmer than ever.

Now, let's check quest progression.

Reward: unlock basic haki manual

Interesting it didn't show what I will get other than intermediate haki guide. Maybe it's a surprise gift. Sigh! I should keep my expectations low.
