Synopsis

In a quiet, private room of the restaurant, the sound of shattering glass pierced the air like a gunshot. There, standing in front of the broken shards, was Robert, his face frozen in shock.
The word "divorce" hung in the air, a bitter pill that he couldn't swallow.
"It's a joke, right?" Robert asked, his voice shaking with disbelief.
"No, I'm not joking, I want a divorce" Emily replied her voice resolute.
Her words hit him like a punch to the gut, as he struggled to comprehend what she was saying.

*********
In a society where arranged marriages are the norm, two strangers are forced to marry each other. They have very different personalities and interests, and they struggle to find common ground. They are bound together by a marriage contract that is intended to ensure that they will work together for the benefit of both their families.

Emily Kevan, a college student with big dreams find herself in a situation that seems to have no way out. It was a leap of faith that would forever change her life, for better or worse.

She felt a sense of profound frustration, knowing that she was tied to someone she had never met and knowing that she was unable to pursue a relationship with the man she truly wanted to be with. She considered divorce as a means of freeing herself from the constraints of the contract, but the terms of the agreement was clear: five years of marriage and an heir were required before a divorce could be considered.

On the other hand, after years of focusing solely on his studies, Robert Rawlings graduated from university and was eager to begin the next chapter of his life. However, his parent had other plans. They informed him of a contract marriage that would tie him to a woman he had never met, and they made it clear that there was no room for discussion. Robert resigned himself to his fate, knowing that he had no choice but to comply.

The question now is, will Emily divorce Robert after five years of marriage with a son?

It's good for a beginning and it's fresh to see a real reaction when someone throw you a contract marriage compared to other novel out there. It's a personal opinion but you should try to change the synopsis, he a bit too long for me.

Hi author, your book is indeed a different take from the 'cliche' concept of contract marriage. If you are participating in WPC august, I wish you the best of luck. Though your execution is less grand than your grand ideas. There are several grammatical errors, and some characters' motivations don't make sense. All in all, it's worth a read, kudos to you author!

This book hits the mark. The story's pace is just right, and you really get into the characters' world. It's written in simple terms, so you're always in the loop. Some parts make you stop and ponder a bit. Looking for a book that's both fun and meaningful? This is it. I'd give it a solid 5 stars.

This is not my usual type of genre but I enjoy reading the few chapters that were uploaded. The narration is easy to follow and the setting of every chapter is easy to visualize. The author really did a good job with the writing quality and style. Honestly, some motivation of the MCs doesn't make sense to me but that's on me since I never read this kind of genre before. Although, It's really amazing how the MCs are portrayed in every chapter. It really shows the skills of the author when it comes to writing.

Loved how vivid the author describes. Makes you feel part of the story and moves along with it. Honestly loving and hating the unseen fiancé of Emily. He sounds pompous and everything about him screams trouble. Can't wait to see how Emily will solve all the problems coming her way and how she will balance between what she wants and what her family expects from her. Keep up the good work author.
