Synopsis
Naglakbay si Cheng Yan pabalik ng panahon, at naging isang marangal na prinsipe sa panahon ng Middle Ages ng Europe. Ngunit ang mundong ito ay hindi kasing simple tulad ng inaakala niya. Mga witch na may mahiwagang kapangyarihan, mga katakot-takot na digmaan sa pagitan ng Simbahan at mga kaharian ang bumabalot sa buong lupain.

I just finished reading the first chapter and I spotted some words in the sentences are not suitable or probably the translator just made a typo? Like the sentence: |Natuklasan din niya ang maaring dahilan ng kaniyang time travel.| The word 'maaring' should be 'maaaring'. Here in this sentence too: |Dahil sa pamamadali sa kanya ng kumpanya na magkaron ng progreso sa kanilang proyekto,...| The word 'pamamadali' should be 'pagmamadali'. Here is another problem, I read the first chapter of the English version of Release The Witch and the sentence read like this: |Because of his company’s urgency to make progress on a project, his boss had arranged consecutive nights of overtime work for him that caused him to die of exhaustion.| The sentence here tells us the idea that Because of the urgency of the company his currently working at to make progress on a project the boss arranged consecutive nights of overtime works for him that caused his death by over exhausting his body. While in the Filipino version of the sentence: |Dahil sa pamamadali sa kanya ng kumpanya na magkaron ng progreso sa kanilang proyekto, inayos ng kaniyang boss ang magkakasunod na araw na gawaing obertaym para sa kanya na naging dahilan ng kaniyang pagkamatay dahil sa kapaguran.| It relays a different idea which is: Because of the company's urging of him to make a progress to their project, his boss arranged consecutive days of overtime works for him that caused his death because of exhaustion. In some cases there are words that are not suitable for the sentence, for example the monologue of the MC here: |"Hayaan na, kahit anong mangyari, nakakuha parin naman ako ng isang dagdag na buhay at hindi dapat ako masyadong magreklamo."| The word 'Hayaan' is not suitable, I think the word should be 'Bahala'. The phrase 'kahit anong mangyari' is not suitable, the phrase should be 'kahit papaano'. This part of the sentence 'nakakuha parin naman ako ng isang dagdag na buhay' conveys a different meaning for some readers. So the correct one should be 'nakakuha parin naman ako katumbas ng isa pang buhay'. I based it from the English version. This part of the sentence 'at hindi dapat ako masyadong magreklamo.' also relays a different idea. It should be 'at dahil doon hindi na dapat ako masyadong magreklamo.' This part is made me cringe when I was reading it: |Nagsimula niyang maintindihan mulat na dapat siyang magsaayos sa buhay niyang magdaraan,...| It really made me laugh and cringe because of the hilarious translation. (I don't mean it in a bad way.) This should be a better version that doesn't change the idea being conveyed: |Nasimulan niya nang mapagisip-isip na dapat siyang masanay sa kaniyang paraan ng pamumuhay sa lalong madaling panahon,...| Sigh, I'm too lazy to think now so I'll stop here... I like the novel so I really want the Filipino translator of this novel to not mess up in his/her work. This is the first chapter so it's understandable that it's not perfect and I'm really expecting for the improvement of the translator. Good Luck translator! I have a question, are you a Filipino? If yes, galingan mo kababayan! If not, do your best! P.S. I'm rating this with 5 stars because I'm probably supporting a kababayan here so... you know...

This is a very good story as it talks about science and also how important the life of a single person. It really interesting especially when the prince started harboring the witches and taking good care to them. I also find this very witty, because of all the equations or how the author is knowledgeable in terms of chemistry and science.

Bloody genius I say it's very massively fantastic for story to be so relatable to the characters and I love how they have their own story. Characters we hate and love has been a remarkable experience for a novel like this to be adaptable to our MC who is filled with ideas, love the genre and protagonist I hope new story for this author made or at least a sequel.
