I'm currently reading it at mtlnovel. Mysterious noble beast. No faceslap. No arrogant young master. Good comedy. = Perfection He can copy skills and paste it on his pets depending if it is compatible. Not invincible but still OP

its a pretty good novel, from the raws I've read at least. the trainer here doesn't idiotically yell moves to his pet like pokemon, the pets have actual intelligence so they battle by themselves. At most, the mc gives out general strategies for his pets to execute. there's no random young masters and faceslapping, and school kids actually act like school kids.

I used to love this novel, waiting every day for releases, but the translators just had to ruin everything, splitting a chapter into 5 or 6 parts each with 500 words. If you want money, just say it, don't go and ruin a good novel because of this
why cut a chapter in four parts? if you cut a chapter in four parts then release it at the same time!!!! i miss the long old chapters........
the translator was snickering, not only was the translation in the last chapters much worse, they also began to divide one chapter into 4, and the release schedule is the same. I don't mind if the translator translates less, but let it be in the usual way, without deceiving readers

The story is one of the best newer stories on the site. However, the recent transition from less frequent regular sized chapters to more frequent tiny chapters is infuriating. The new chapters feel like nothing has been accomplished. Go back to the other way as this is ridiculous.
After reading the raws (up to chap 300) I'm quite disappointed. I'm an avid fan of beast taming novels and this one made me feel sad for how the writing quality deteriorated from the beginning. He actually became a Gary Sue. Shi Yu easily fixed every problem that he faced. No hardship whatsoever. The only think that kept me going is the evolution patterns of his beasts. He kept getting stronger and stronger, most materials for evolution were handed out to him by the Gem Cat and even Eleven finished 3 inscriptions after meeting the Turtle of Emperor Wu. I didn't see him struggling that much. He constantly made research discoveries from the Iron eating beasts to the Green Cotton worms. He contracted a high level overlord heroic spirit in an instant, you can even say that even though he had a test. He still easily passed it. There a lot of other scenes like these in the novel where he is basically the darling of the universe and all things go in his way. There are also a lot of anime references. From the heroic spirits, dragon ball, and reincarnated as a slime. Honestly, at first I was not bothered but I really dislike how the author almost copied all the concepts. Emperor Shidi had built a ruin where you can contact Heroic Spirits of the past, a strong purification totem reincarnated as a slime, and a dragon ball appeared that helped woth buggy's evolution. Lastly, I really dislike how outrageous the novel is. For example, when he went into the Dragon Palace he created a department. Oh, he also defeated the 2nd and 3rd prince of the dragon palace. Currently, he even decided yo create a movie. He also sucked the time ruin in imperial university. Cracked emperor Wu's ruin. And many more. And all of the characters reaction are always "I've never seen anything like this" or "all beasts and humans are stunned and shocked" the fact that he can ALWAYS shock totem level beasts are outrageous and repitative. Honestly, the start was good but the writing went downhill. I'm hoping that the author don't do these things in the future. I don't knlw what I'm writing but I'm just really dissatisfied with how the novel had become.

The book itself if pretty good overall, with only some minor issues with boring or annoying side characters, however the translation quality has dropped significantly recently and it has heavily dropped the enjoyability of this book. Full chapters are now split into multiple which changes how the story is paced out, often straight up cutting paragraphs into different chapters making it awful to read. Unless the translation changes back to how it was it honestly may not be worth reading until everything is completely translated, or even be worth read at all. A good story ruined by translation practices.
This story is one of the more interesting ones released for this trial batch. To be honest, Iโm a sucker for beast taming stories and this is one of the more interesting ones. Itโs got a unique premise that kept me interested after getting past the slow pacing in the beginning and the world building is pretty good. You can definitely tell that the author put some serious thought into the world. I also like how the MCโs power isnโt OP. It comes with some very reasonable limitations. That being said, there are some flaws with this story: 1. The classic blasรฉ attitude the MC has when they realize theyโve transmigrated. This is a huge pet peeve of mine as I donโt think itโs a realistic reaction no matter how many transmigration stories they read in their past life. ๐ 2. Random emojis in the story. Iโve seen this in a few stories and I think itโs just lazy. 3. Lack of consistencyโthe author seems to have trouble keeping track of what level certain skills should be and keeps flip flopping between proficient and expert. Not being able to keep track of details like this seems to be a common issue with stories. This really drove me crazy when I was reading. It should not be that hard to keep it consistent. 4. Some occasional bad grammar, but it doesnโt happen often, thankfully. But despite the flaws, I enjoyed reading it and I would recommend it if you like beast taming stories.
Solid development, no abuse, no overused cliches, adorable animals and a cheat thats not overly cheating. I will say there are a couple points im like โ dude reallyโ but the mc is smart normal human trying his best to live his second life. good book.
I like the story, it's pretty interesting. But holy god not sure if it's the author or the translator, but something is seriously wrong. Especially when it gets to about CH. 237, it's like paragraphs are just missing and the quality of translation drops further with grammar errors etc. Not to mention later on the translator decides to chop chapters into three separate chapters instead of one long chapter.
it's good but it's filled with lot of nonsense like who cares about future generations thats the first thing he thinks about?he hasn't even become a master level and is a weakling but still recklessly attracting attention iron Beast now he even wants to evolve green worm public he does realize that he is only able to compete because of this special evolution methods and skills and he is just agrees to increase others profiency in skills it's kind of a wonder and unrealistic that he hasnt been targeted by people after causing so many commotion and he says he doesn't like to be popular? lot of unnecessary things have been added and name of growth level and others keep changing and confusing why not just stick with one? and being famous only mostly bought him unnecessary trouble and is not really that useful he didn't really receive much benefits for giving evolution methods isnt it better to keep it private and sell on his own instead?
MC's personality sucks, always short on time, always getting dragged around, lazy, and there's school arch coming straight up, it'll be unbearable
Sad was not picked.. crazy picking system for novels.. it was really a great novel.lots of fun.. mc was not arrogant and has brains not like other op mc.. they should have picked this rather than those trash novels that were picked.. so annoying
one of the best pet novel in webnovel... actually I started to hate pet novel genre because huge quantities bad copy paste pet novel released by webnovel.after reading some good reviews I tried this one for just trying..after reading I can say it's not a gem...but definitely good read until last chapter I read. must try...
the book is great, but the translators after they split 1 chapter into 6 or 12 pieces are just trash
