Chapter 1: Prologue: At the present
It was the Annual End-of-year Gala Dinner held by the Gold Corporation. A highly prestigious gold factories and extremely powerful company which has thousands of smaller accessories company under it all over the world.
The man behind Gold Corporation, Jayden Oh, is a very distinguised young man, born with a silver spoon and have a menacing aura around him. Eversince he took over the company 2 years ago, he has successfully turn their company's worth ten fold.
With the height of 185cm, wide shoulder, well-toned body, he was the most sought after bachelor in the whole country and with a nett-worth of billions dollars.
However, he was not interested in relationship and understand that with his high-profile lifestyle, he'll most probably be matchmaked by the family to the daughter of an equally influencial family. it's not normal to be matchmade by the family in the modern time but for family with influential and wealthy background, they'll usually find another family with equal status so as to support and strengthen each other position in the government and business. It's a give and take solution. Both party win. Love is nothing but a delusional moment in one's life if you were bornt in such family.
So, for Jay love is something that he doesn't really hope too much for.
Suddenly a tinkling laugh was heard, a laugh so light and sweet, sound as if the spring is coming nearer and warmth starting to spread across the whole body.
To the naked eyes, nothing special is going on in Jayden Oh's attitude, however, if you watch closely, he stiffened ever so slightly and was unconsciously searching for the source of the laugh. Such laugh made him nostalgic of the girl he once knew when he was still a young and hopeful lad.
However, when he turn around and quietly searching, the laugh was gone and amongst the sea of people, he didn't see anybody out of place, thinking that perhaps he had misheard the laugh, he then continue to mingle and tried not to be bored to death.
Not far from the ballroom, a young sweet looking lady was laughing happily with her group of girl friends. At the first look, she actually is just an ordinary girl, wearing a black-rimmed glasses, with a medium-length hair. Nothing special and not a drop-dead gorgeous at all. What captured people's heart is her laughing face. Once she laughs, her face turns a few degree sweeter and with the two cute dimples, it complimented her sweetness and made her irresistible to anyone who saw her. Her laugh is contagious. Once she laugh, you'll feel like much happier. Her laugh made you feel more positive about life. She was the type who you like to get close to just to get a little bit of the positive vibe she give out. "See, I told you that's not where the wedding banquet is held. It's on the other floor. Luckily we realized it quickly and get out fast." The girl said to Jenny, her roommate.
"Sorry Joyce... I though that was the place. Let's find the wedding banquet and have a feast. I'm starving."
"Yeah, let's go to the escalator again. I'm hungry too.." another girl, Franda said.
So, they all went to search for the wedding venue. And have a blast of good time partying till it's almost midnight
