idk if they are used later, but i have read some novels that were good and 1 that was amazing, except all of them used anime/films/books references in them, when they could have done the same without mentioning it, and it distracted from reading their original at first, later it was annoying and most of them were dropped

gj with this. Writing webnovels is difficult and you need to hook readers, slow start when reborn mc is better than kids is done in sports novels, fantasy, scifi and even female novels. If you look around there is pretty good chance that there are tens of football novels that went on hiatus with still kid mc....
