Based on how enchantment functions, with soul gems at base level, can we assume aether crystals are just raw, higher-tiered soul essence? And through process of using so much of the higher form of energy, one gains consciousness feeling the pain of the others being assimilated, hence the hatred? Or is it a spirit-realm-like development, where they get pulled from their home forcefully?
