For a few breathless minutes, neither of them moved again or spoke. But there was no need to put anything into words. The sound of their uneven inhales and exhales, the scent of sweat and other body fluids hanging in the air, and the thrashing pulses of their heartbeats said more than enough. Harper let herself relax into the intimate silence as her body and mind slowly drifted down, returning to reality.
