Once, I was camping alone in the woods. At midnight, I heard strange howling sounds. I peeked out of my tent and saw a pair of glowing eyes in the darkness. I was so scared that I huddled in my sleeping bag, not daring to move until morning. When the sun finally rose, I found out it was just a stray dog.

One of my favorite scary stories is 'The Tell - Tale Heart' by Edgar Allan Poe. It's about a narrator who is haunted by an old man's vulture - like eye. The narrator's slow descent into madness as he plots and executes the old man's murder is truly terrifying. Every little detail, like the way he describes how he hid the body under the floorboards, and then the growing paranoia as he starts to think he can still hear the old man's heart beating, makes it a classic scary story.

Once, I saw an old wheelchair in an abandoned house. It was creaking on its own as if someone was sitting in it. I got so scared and ran away immediately.

I turned a corner and hid in a doorway. When I peeked out, it was gone. But then, as I started walking again, I felt a cold breath on my neck. I ran all the way home, not looking back. It still gives me chills to think about it.

I heard a footsteps scary story from my grandfather. He was in an abandoned building once. He heard footsteps that seemed to be coming from the basement. He was curious and went to check. As he got closer to the basement stairs, the footsteps grew more intense. He then saw a shadowy figure at the bottom of the stairs. He quickly ran out of the building, and he said he never went back there again.
