Overtime, the radiation results in the proliferation of powerful, vicious creatures known as Mutants. Humanity remained sheltered in the Sanctuary, with no way of defending themselves against these creatures, until... A few decades later, the worldwide radiation results in an evolution in all newly born humans, known as Paragons. Specifically, they are born with a special energy known as X-Factor Energy, or XFE for short, allowing them to potentially harness and manifest this energy into weapon-like forms, giving humanity a way to defend themselves against the rapidly multiplying Mutants. However, only about five percent of Paragons could successfully manifest their XFE, known as Prodigies. Non-Prodigies are sometimes derogatorily referred to as Duds. However, of the ninety-five percent of Paragons that fail to become Prodigies, there is a miniscule chance of them developing an ability different to those of the Prodigies. The rare few who achieve this are known as Anomalies. Kilzachs is a Paragon who, following a series of unfortunate incidents before getting disowned by his father for not turning out to be a Prodigy, finds himself hitting rock bottom through no fault of his own. Mais leur meilleure invention était les jeux de RV totalement immersifs qui devenaient de plus en plus avancés au fil du temps. Ils pouvaient créer de nouveaux mondes — en réalité virtuelle, qui étaient plus beaux et profonds que le monde réel dans lequel ils vivaient. En voyant comment l'Humanité commençait à abandonner le monde créé par les dieux et à embrasser le faux monde créé par les humains, les dieux se sont mis en colère. Ainsi, les dieux ont transmigré les âmes de tous les joueurs de jeux de RV dans le jeu créé par les dieux — appelé L'impact des Dieux, qui était différent de tout jeu de RV. C'était trop surréaliste avec des luttes quotidiennes, des quêtes, des systèmes, des monstres, et... plus mortel et cruel que le monde réel. Cependant, ils pouvaient utiliser leurs compétences et talents de la vie réelle dans le jeu. Ils pouvaient utiliser l'argent du monde réel dans le jeu. Au fur et à mesure qu'ils évoluaient dans le jeu, leur corps changeait également dans la vie réelle. De plus, les joueurs qui mouraient dans le jeu mouraient aussi dans le monde réel. Comment Zach, qui venait d'essayer le jeu de RV pour la première fois, seulement pour être transporté dans L'impact des Dieux, va-t-il survivre? "Les statistiques de tout le monde sont limitées. Je deviendrai sans limites en cultivant des PM infinis !" Zach a annoncé avec nonchalance quand il a réalisé qu'il pourrait être le joueur le plus fort du jeu. One after the other, tragedies just keep on attempting to break poor Raven who was only trying to live her life normally. Follow her along her journey to learn of her thoughts, emotions, and goals. How will she defend against an entire race wanting her dead? What will she do as a demon war threatens to destroy what's left of her sanity? If you feel like you're not sure about the book yet, I advise you to start with Arc 1, which will be the official start for this novel. However, if you feel like you're patient enough to read through lackluster chapters then, you might as well try Arc 0, it has a lot of good background events (such as the portal incident mentioned in the synopsis) that you might enjoy. I can promise that you'll find it worth the read:D The book is tagged "Yuri" but it won't be focused around that aspect much. Instead, it'll be more centered around fantasy.
