Animals are wired to want and eat the flower even if it costs them their lives, by some of the lingering primal instincts in their genes. Shifters defend those flowers with their pride, and lives, for their animal brethren to take a bite. Meanwhile, humans take Ascension flowers for both their own benefit, and to stop the advance of the rising Ani-shifter kingdoms. Draken Alpha was one of the greatest prodigies of the pure human race and was already one of the Ten Legion Commanders of the unstoppable Sunset Legion at a young age. His unparalleled ruthlessness, and adaptability made him among the most fearsome human generals to face in a battlefield.
