Legend of the Guild: Point Blank

Legend of the Guild: Point Blank

Status: On hiatus indefinitely, because I'm going to be busy and the story is now at a place where it needs major reconstruction. Only twenty-six years old, the young gunslinger, Curt, believes he is falling to his death in the clouds. However, he ends up being saved by a young girl with an aptitude for magic in a world he'd only heard of in legends. Going with the flow only takes him so far, and Curt soon finds himself burdened with more responsibility than he bargained for -- including the fate of the two worlds. Detailed Synopsis: Curt is a young gunslinger from a small town called Ore Town, situated in a barren wasteland known as the Dusts. While sabotaging the gang threatening his town, Curt is forced to take a leap of faith, literally. He plunges into the sea of clouds expecting death, only to arrive in an entirely new world below the clouds. Saved by a young girl using magic, Curt isn't too sure what to make of his second chance of life. When he meets a fellow Duster who had fallen years ago, he's roped into becoming second-in-command of a brand new guild. Guild duties aren't easy, especially as Curt is tasked to recruit fighters to take on the Grand Guild Tournament, where the winning guild takes home an enormous prize pool -- and most importantly, a mysterious ticket to the fabled "Star City" that exists above the clouds. ================ Written for fun. Little to no editing/proofreading (so beware of occasional typos). Sporadic updates, but the plot is more or less at least planned out. ================ Very loosely based off/inspired by lore from the video game, Dungeon & Fighter (particularly the intro). No knowledge of the game is required, though there might be scattered references/easter eggs. https://socreecree.wordpress.com/

What are the challenges in displaying secret stories?
One challenge could be privacy concerns. If the secret stories involve personal information of individuals, ensuring that only the intended audience can view them is crucial. Another challenge might be ethical considerations. For example, if the secret stories are about historical events that have sensitive aspects, presenting them in an accurate and respectful way is difficult. Also, there could be technical difficulties such as security of the platform used for displaying to prevent unauthorized access.

How can columns be used to tell a story effectively?
Columns can also tell a story by using a narrative voice. Imagine a series of blog columns. The writer could use a personal, engaging voice in each column. In the first column, they set the stage by sharing their motivation for writing about a particular event. Then, in subsequent columns, they unfold the details of the event, how it affected them and others, and finally, what lessons were learned. This makes the columns feel like chapters in a story.

What elements should columns that tell a story contain?
They should have a beginning, middle, and end. Just like a regular story. For instance, in a column series about a historical event, the first column could start with the causes of the event (the beginning). The middle columns could describe the actual occurrence and its development. And the final column could conclude with the aftermath and significance (the end).
