016 is one of thirty successful experimental candidates created inside a classified government research facility. Each was taken in from different sources mainly from orphanages or rescued from human traffickers and subjected to years of intense physical, mental, and biochemical conditioning. They weren’t saved. With technology at it's peak global conflicts became more frequent and harder to end, world powers began turning to alternatives. Candidates like 016 now called Assets are sold to countries on the verge of collapse. One Asset is as valuable as a nuclear weapon, sometimes more depending on rank. Their existence is hidden from the public, and their purpose is simple: complete the missions assigned to them. Inside the facility, children are classified into three groups: Assets (A): the successful candidates. Valuables (V): those still undergoing experimentation. Wastes (W): the ones who are seen as failures or the ones who didn’t survive. suddenly a phenomenon appeared: an eight-meter-wide black rift in Southeast Asia. No light could penetrate it, and those sent inside didn’t return. Of the 1,000 soldiers deployed, the few who came back died on the moment after stepping out or mentally broken muttering only two words: “Devils” and “Gate.”

The story begins with Nelarma. Formerly known as Hereva, Nel has been reborn. (Uh oh, yet another reincarnation novel) However, he isn't the only one reborn. There is another. His name is Kai. He and his twin brother seem to be the only other ones in this world who can understand his struggles. Though Kyln hadn't been reincarnated, he has had more than enough knowledge passed on to him by Kai, so he can easily relate to Luke. Unfortunately, Kai isn't exactly the type to connect with others. Watch as I torture them *cough* Kai *cough*, and see why the two *cough* or more *cough* have been reincarnated into this new world.
