Sunshine between Rays of Darkness

Sunshine between Rays of Darkness

what will you do when you unexpectedly cross paths with a person trying to end his or her life? act as if they don't exist? call help? calm them down? call them crazy?! yes, most of us would do one of those things. however, the case here is different. Ezra Jacobson decides to blurt out the first thing that comes to his mind to Viola Celeste. but you know what they say 'desperate times call for desperate measures'. that was exactly the case here. or was it? read to find out because it's either they save each other or drive each other into further oblivion. as I said read to find out :) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ sneak peak: "you have 2 months" I found myself saying without looking him in the eye "what?" he asked "you said nothing ever deserves what I was going to do but do you really think that this life is worth living?" I ask raising my head to meet his eyes now "do you," I start slowly, "really believe that?" I wait for his answer and scan his face for any ungenuine emotions. "yes" he declares in determination and I ,for a moment, believe him He came closer and I stood my ground not wanting to show that he affects me in anyway. He stood directly in front of me his chest touching my arms which are wrapped around my own chest. He put one finger under my chin and raised my head to meet his eyes. He lowered his head toward mine and I tensed and was a bout to push him away but he tilted and breathed gently in my ear. "yes I do believe so viola the world is so much more than you think" he said with caution and took one of my the hands that are now beside me and placed it on my heart "can you feel it?" he asked and I nodded "That is called purpose. You're alive for a reason so don't ever give up" he coaxed and right then and there I wanted to know if I can really believe him. He backed away from me "I accept your challenge Viola" he said in a low voice and I loved the way my name rolled of his tongue.

Rays of Us

Rays of Us

In the dystopian city of Rylos, where the government dictates love through a behavioral score-based lottery, Nico Knight is a man who’s always gotten what he wants. A nightclub tycoon with a reputation, he’s never had to answer to anyone until the lottery pairs him with Odalis, a quiet librarian with an air of calm that feels almost too controlled. To Nico, Odalis is a puzzle of a woman too ordinary, too unremarkable to pique his interest. But there’s something about her stillness that begins to intrigue him. Beneath the surface, he senses a storm she’s carefully hiding. Nico finds himself questioning whether he really knows what he wants or if his true challenge lies in the mystery of Odalis herself. (Sneak peak scene) Nico slouched on the couch, drunk, eyes fixed on Odalis as she read, the quiet hum of the room wrapping around them like a soft cocoon. Nico: You know, I never imagined a woman like you would be in my life. Quiet, composed... not my taste. Odalis (without looking up): And what did you imagine? Nico: Someone like me. Loud. Reckless. Odalis: Sorry for the disappointment. He blinked, his eyelids heavy, the pull of sleep growing stronger. Nico: “You’re like... an angel, in the wrong place.” His head dropped back, surrendering to sleep. Odalis glanced at him, a faint smile playing at her lips. Odalis (whispering): “You’re wrong, Nico Knight. Maybe the wrong place is exactly where I need to be.” She tucked him in, the soft rustle of fabric the only sound, and returned to her book. The silence between them now felt strangely comfortable.

What are the common themes in infrared science fiction?
Well, there are several common themes. One is the exploration of the unknown. Infrared technology can be a tool for exploring new and strange environments, like the depths of space or uncharted planets. It gives the characters an extra sense to deal with the unfamiliar. Another theme is the interface between man and machine. Infrared sensors might be part of a cybernetic enhancement, blurring the boundaries between the biological and the mechanical. And a theme that is often present is the idea of a hidden reality. Infrared reveals a different layer of the world, which can be used to uncover mysteries, whether it's about a conspiracy or a strange new life form.

Can you recommend some infrared science fiction movies?
Sure. 'Iron Man' movies have some infrared - related science fiction concepts. Tony Stark's suit is equipped with various sensors including infrared ones for detecting enemies and obstacles. Also, 'The Matrix' has scenes where infrared is used in a more symbolic way, like the greenish - tinted 'code' which can be thought of as related to infrared in a very abstract sense as it represents a different way of seeing the world, kind of like how infrared shows a different view of the environment.
