Ia tak mengira reputasinya sebagai raja di luar istana sangat buruk dan hatinya tersentuh melihat betapa rakyat hidup sangat menderita di bawah tekanan para pejabat dan perdana mentri yang korup. Taishi kemudian harus memilih antara hidup tenang sebagai rakyat biasa bersama gadis yang ia cintai, atau kembali ke istana dan menikah dengan putri pilihan perdana mentri agar bisa mengambil kekuasaan demi cintanya kepada rakyat.
