Kekacauan tersebut, memaksa setiap negara untuk mengerahkan kekuatan militer untuk menghentikan mereka. Hanya saja, mereka sangat keji dan haus darah. Mereka terus melakukan penyerangan tanpa henti meski dalam keadaan terluka. Karena, selain memiliki ketahanan tubuh yang luar biasa. Mereka juga mampu memulihkan luka yang mereka terima dengan sangat cepat. Yang membuat mereka jadi tidak terhentikan. Karena hal tersebut, kekacauan pun berlangsung selama puluhan tahun, dan mengakibatkan hampir setengah populasi manusia di seluruh dunia didominasi oleh mereka. Sampai akhirnya para petinggi negara di dunia menerbitkan sebuah kebijakan. Yaitu, mengakui mereka sebagai ras manusia yang baru, yaitu Hybrid Human, dan memberi mereka hak seperti manusia pada umumnya. Kebijakan tersebut pun diterima dengan baik oleh sebagian besar dari mereka. Termasuk Lucy, yang sudah lelah dengan kehidupan gelapnya. Hanya saja, timbul diskriminasi di masyarakat terhadap mereka semua, yang membuat mereka kesulitan dalam mendapatkan pekerjaan mau pun memiliki pasangan yang bukan sesama Hybrid Human. Bagaimana Lucy dalam menghadapi semua itu? Rintangan apa saja yang menanti Lucy di depan sana? Dan apakah ia menemukan sesuatu yang membuat hidupnya berubah jadi lebih baik?
