A collection of Micro-fiction insprired by Dictionary.com's "Word of the Day". A one word prompt that can take my mind anywhere. This is the Rorschach test of my mind.

A hundred years ago, the sun’s flames crept hotter and brighter until daylight became a furnace—mankind retreated into the night, and the world was claimed by shadow. Now, sixteen-year-old Ádin survives in a hidden bunker, trading scraps for scraps and precious drops of water. Marked by secret scars that only glow under his skin he lives with Fletcher, his mute golden retriever, and clings to the cryptic lullaby his grandmother left him. Out in the ruins roams Salvator Morgan, a man whose ageless eyes have seen the fall of empires and who whispers rumors of a “true child of prophecy.” When Ádin discovers the first fragment of a hidden map— he realizes he may hold the key to a long-lost salvation. But every step toward the truth draws the attention of the Children of the Stars, a fanatical cult whose young prophet will stop at nothing to claim destiny for himself. As the moon circles high and the ashes swirl, Ádin must decide: cling to everything he’s known, or embrace a perilous path that could either resurrect humanity… or consume him in the flames of betrayal. In a world where water is worship and every lie is branded in blood, survival means choosing whom to trust—and what you’re willing to burn.

Kleine dunkle Geschichte

1805 years of the Age Of The First King, a boy by the name of Scorch and his twin sister run away from their abusive father and find themselves in the royal capital of the Edessa Kingdom. After another tragedy that scars Scorch for the rest of his life, he joins the army in order to achieve his dream: make the world a better place. Years after he joins the army he encounters a mage on the battlefield, who takes away his arms and stabs him through the heart. Luckily he is saved by a mysterious man, but now he seeks revenge on the man who killed him.

Equal they say, what a joke, no one is equal, however, there is one thing that binds us together despite our disparities, we all have this gift called, Life . . . . . Schism follows the daily life of a Gemei, A guy who completely hates human interactions and everything related to that. However, this hatred isn't without reason. A dark past, a dark present and probably a dark future. Disclaimer: From my point of view, this story is very dark. I mean DARK AF, but from someone else's prospective, it may or may not be as dark as I think it is. So ill just put the disclaimer anyway. Don't come complaining if the story isn't that dark.... Dua bulan usai keluar dari pekerjaan, aku pergi ke sebuah desa di pinggiran negeri. Berangan menjalani hidup menyenangkan tanpa memikirkan kasus sulit yang menyita waktu tidur. Tapi, aku salah. Sejak awal seharusnya aku tidak pergi ke desa itu. Seharusnya aku tetap berada di kota dan tinggal di sebuah penthouses. Berdiam diri di kota dan menghamburkan uang di usia muda. Tidak perlu bermimpi menghirup udara sejuk khas pedesaan. Itu bermula saat aku bertemu seorang perempuan hari itu. Dia adalah seorang pembunuh. Aku pikir hidup di pedesaan akan membuatku tenang dan tidak perlu lagi bergemelut dalam kasus berdarah seperti itu. Namun, perempuan bernama Schila itu membuatku harus kembali ke pekerjaan lamaku sebagai seorang detektif. Paranoia Schizophrenia. Penyakit gila semacam itu nyatanya membuatnya terhindar dari hukuman jeruji besi. Dia malah dikirim ke rumah sakit jiwa untuk menyembuhkan penyakit mentalnya. Itu membuatku merasa gagal menjadi seorang detektif.

Einst trug er zahllose Titel: Zornvolle Flamme des Berges, Höllisches Unheil, Der Karminkaiser, Aschedrache...... Die Welt zitterte unter dem Schatten der riesigen Drachen. Er entfachte den Wahnsinn der magischen industriellen Revolution; im Reich, das er errichtete, brüllten Wywern, Artillerie feuerte im Einklang, und stählerne Bestien erschienen am Himmel und auf dem Land, während Katastrophen aus einer anderen Welt überall wüteten. "Unterwerft euch, oder sterbt." Cassius breitete seine Flügel aus, verdunkelte die Sonne und blickte auf die zitternden Menschen, Elfen und Zwerge unter ihm herab, während er dies sprach. ...... Thomas' life has never been a fortunate one. Always as if submerged in thick, black ink he has hazily drifted from one place to another. While investigating an old church ruin he and his colleagues stumble upon a cult in the middle of a sinister ritual, one that has to be stopped. To their dismay however they were too late, unable to disrupt the ritual Thomas makes a desperate attempt to kill the priests along with himself, but before he knows it he is sucked into a portal, inside the void, to meet his end.
