Accel, just another face in the sea of hopeful candidates, stepped forward when his turn came. The smooth glass screen before him shimmered, scanning his mana signature before lines of text appeared—visible only to him.

The screen flickered for a split second—static and distortion cutting through the clean interface. Another number in the system, another hopeful adventurer starting at the bottom.
