"You guys did amazing!" I chirp as I follow them up the stairs.
"Now it's time to go live." Yoon smiles as he reaches behind him and patiently waits for SeungCheol to give him his phone.
"If you're going live, I should probably go." I stop in my tracks. I don't want to intrude on something as special as a live. It's time for the boys to talk to their fans. I'd feel terrible interrupting it.
"You've gotta come." Nyx pouts as he spins around to face me.
"I can't—it's time for you and your fans. I'll see you after. It's not a big deal." I play it off as nothing. In reality, it isn't a big deal. The only downfall is I'm stuck in my overly spacious dorm with little to nothing to do.
"If you're feeling up to it, you could find JinYoung. They were going to look around to see if anyone could squeeze him in to dye his hair. It should only need one more bleaching and the colored dye." SeungCheol suggests as the boys slip into the conference room.
I nod happily and start making my way back down the stairs. JinYoung is a sweetheart. I will gladly take the opportunity to bombard him with compliments. He probably needs it. He seems really self conscious even though his amazing.
"Noona." JinYoung calls as he waves at me from across the room.
I smile brightly as he hurries toward me. JinAe comes rushing after him.
"I heard you were in search of someone to do your hair. Am I good enough?" I chuckle as JinAe grabs ahold of my arm.
"I told them it had to be you." JinYoung insists as he stares shyly at his feet.
"You're a big star now, shouldn't you be getting your own makeup artist?" I tease as I look around in search of his manager. I saw him earlier, but I have no idea where he wandered off to.
"Can I have you?" JinYoung asks with big doe eyes.
"I'd love to, but I'm already taken. I have to deal with a bunch of drama queens." I shake my head in amusement.
"Can't you just leave them?" JinYoung questions full heartedly.
"There's times I wish I could." I mumble to myself as I spot JinYoung's manager.
"Where are all my trainees at?" SeungChan questions as he climbs on stage and attempts to do a headcount.
"You should go." I nod toward the small group of trainees forming in front of SeungCheol.
"Bye, Unnie!" JinAe releases me and waves enthusiastically before hurrying to join them.
"We need to find your manager so I can find the supplies for your hair." I wrap my arm around JinYoung's shoulders and lead him in the direction of his manager.
"They're in my dorm." JinYoung speaks up without much thought.
"You found her." His manager comes to a halt in front of us, panting.
"She said she can do it." JinYoung smiles as he awkwardly scratches at the back of his neck. He's clearly still not used to his manager, but at least he knows he's there to help.
"Everything is in your dorm. I can go grab it. I'm not sure where you want to do it." His manager glances around the lobby as if there were a spot to dye hair out in the open.
"If it's okay with you, I can do it in his dorm or mine. The bleach will probably take awhile, so he'll at least be more comfortable that way." I glance down at JinYoung as he nods happily.
"That's fine with me. Do you think you can handle him or do you want me to stay with?" His manager chuckles as he watches JinYoung stare up at me.
"I think I can handle him." I nod as I meet his hopeful gaze.
"If you need anything, have him call me. I'll just be here working on some scheduling conflicts. As soon as you're done, send him off to bed. He has an interview tomorrow at noon." His manager lays down a few rules before releasing us.
I lead JinYoung toward the front door. The freezing winter air hits me like a gunshot and JinYoung shivers next to me. I didn't even notice he wasn't wearing a jacket of some sort. All he has on is his white button up he wore during his performance. I take my jacket off and place it over his shoulders before hurrying him across the street.
"You're one lucky kid. It's almost midnight and you're still up." I tease as we slip into the apartment building.
"Not really, everyone else has it easier. I'm not complaining though. I like performing. It's just stressful. I feel like it'll get easier once I actually have a decent sized fan base. Right now, I'm just worried about people liking me." JinYoung sighs as he hands my jacket back to me.
"You don't have to worry about people liking you. You're already liked by one of the most difficult people around. If Seren likes you, you're in the clear. People just have to find you now. Once they see you and hear how talented you are, you'll have the world at you feet." I hit the button for the elevator and patiently wait beside him.
"I guess you're right. Seren is really talented. If he likes me, other people will, too." JinYoung's attitude shifts slightly as I manage to restore a bit of his confidence.
I step into the elevator, slightly distracted. I'd be lying if I said I didn't want to stay for their live. I really want to watch it, but I have to help JinYoung. I'm sure I'll hear all about it tomorrow—even though it'd be more fun being the one teasing them about it.
"Why aren't you with Sunrise? I figured they'd keep you busy." JinYoung questions as he hits the correct floor button then anxiously glances down at his feet.
"They went to do a live. If I stayed with I would've just been a distraction. I figured I should make myself useful." I smile brightly as I try to hide my disappointment.
"They're doing a live? We have to hurry! I want to watch it!" JinYoung's excitement hops out as he immediately searches his pockets for his phone.
"Do you know how to pull it up on your tv? I could show you once we get up there. It's easier to watch that way. You don't have to stare at your tiny phone screen." I offer, excited to have a chance to watch.
"Really? Please!" JinYoung grabs my arm and drags me out of the elevator as the door creeps open.
"Slow down, you're going to trip." I chuckle as he rushes toward his dorm. He slides his card and tugs the door open.
"My tv is right there, I'll go grab the dye stuff." JinYoung motions toward his tv before he disappears into his bathroom.
"You might want to grab a few towels so nothing gets on the floor." I call after him as I hesitantly make my way through his dorm. I settle in front of the tv and begin going to work.
"Got it." JinYoung comes galloping back to me with an armful of supplies.
"Yoon almost fell on stage. I about died." Brynn laughs as Yoon shoots him a glare.
I glance at JinYoung to see him fully immersed in the live. I shake my head and head to the kitchen to grab a stool for him. I set it a little ways back from the tv and take the supplies for him. I place my hands on his shoulders and guide him toward the stool while he watches over my shoulder. He gets the message and sits down while I cover the floor with a few towels.
"I know it's not ideal, but you'll probably want to change your shirt—just to be on the safe side." I suggest as I glance at the tv to see Brynn slapping Yoon while laughing hysterically.
"Tell me if I miss something—I'll hurry." JinYoung hops to his feet and rushes toward his closet. He grabs a shirt before once again disappearing into the bathroom.
"Should we tell them about the you-know-what?" Yoon asks as he glances from Nyx to Brynn.
"Can we?" Nyx questions hesitantly as he glances off screen at SeungCheol I assume.
"Our title track is amazing. It's something we've never done before. You guys are going to love it." Brynn jumps in before they can get permission to give out any spoilers.
"What'd I miss?" JinYoung asks as he quickly falls back down on the stool.
"Brynn was talking about their new album." I explain casually as I drape a towel over his shoulders and delicately run my fingers through his hair.
"Have you guys heard about the new soloists? One of them is featuring on one of our songs. We're supposed to record with him next week sometime." Yoon pushes Brynn aside so he can take center.
"Halcyon. He's an amazing singer. He produces, too." Nyx mumbles softly as he scoots back to avoid getting hit by the two fighting over the middle.
"That's me! He's talking about me!" JinYoung chirps brightly as I begin applying the bleach to his hair.
"I told you people will like you. Even they're bragging about you." I smile to myself as JinYoung squirms happily.
