Write a reviewTranslation isn’t that good. But expected, many translations aren’t the best. However, I’ll still continue to read this. It’s still better than an MTL at the end of the day (:
Sigh Definitely needs more reviews. No complaints from me. Though, story is slightly au. ///////////////////777///////////////////////////////////////////////////
I was a huge fan of this novel when it first came out. ALthough the grammar isn’t great, it’s not terrible like MTL either. There are few eniugh mistakes that it’s easy enough to understand what is going on. The MC personality is pretty stellar imo. He seeks power, but he does so within the limits of his morals. He is kind to his ally’s but ruthless to his enemies. Hes definitely not a hero, but hes not cruel and doesn’t indiscriminately kill civilians. He repays his debts 10 times over. However, I lost interest about halfway through for one reason. Despite his personality and goals being different from OG teach, he follows teaches path and OG crew mates. To me this makes very little sense. Although not all of them, most of the OG Blackbeard crew are what I would call actual pirates. They are cruel, petty and mean spirited. They take what they want from whomever they want and only respect blackbeards authority. Shiryu for example enjoyed torturing and killing impel down prisoners. Lafitte was literally exiled from west blue due to his excessive cruelty. Vasco Shot was so cruel and vicious that the world government wiped him from history so it would tarnish their name. Jesus Burgess is arrogant and confrontational and does not accept defeat with grace. These kinds of people absolutely don’t match the personality of MC at all. This Blackbeard wouldn’t just stand by while his crewmates r*per and plunder innocents. Furthermore, instead of just killing Enel and taking his devilfruit, he actually recruits the man. This was what made me stop reading because I always find it utterly ridiculous when FF authors do this. Enel was a man who thought himself a god and if he had learned Haki, that would have been much less of a joke than it was originally. That is not the kind of man you can subordinate and expect to be loyal to you. More than that l, picking him up doesn’t match MC personality at all. Enel is undoubtedly a psychopath. He enjoyed being in absolute control of the life and death of innocent people. He was callous and murderous and cruel. Anyways, the novel isn’t bad but it stopped making sense and being enjoyable to me after that. Don’t let this dissuade you tho, if you can look past those things the novel is a decent way to kill a couple hours.

Needs an edit to normalize translated names or romanized names. Did not notice any gender flipping at least, would say OK translation quality.
