I want to say something to the author. This is a good book. I have seen more than one webnovel based on the 'girl is reincarnated into an evil family' trope. This one is better thought out. Your point that sometimes a monarch must be a nasty bastard

Basically , someone will beat up the slime and she will come to save it.

You could use a bit more portraying of Mia's feelings. Even if she's fairly robotic in how she thinks about things, I can't get a sense of what little she DOES feel. The most emotion we've gotten out of her is fear back with the burnt merchant, but that read more like "danger" than "fear".

Continued: A monarch must be a real bastard at times in an agrarian setting. The girl in the story is facing a massive problem: The Demon King is coming and the adjacent country will invade soon. What to do? I am curious as to what she CAN do. It's not like the adjacent country is any better or worse than the country she is in. If she just surrenders, she would be in a better position to meet the depredations of the Demon King.

Not gonna lie but the whole assassin/thief thing bores me because nearly every story with skills on this site makes the mc either one of those or gives them a profession then makes the mc learn stealth or assassin skills because why be different.
