webnovel as being a dictator ..its no wonder that this novel is backwatered i guess? this is such good novel even if this site only has 1 volume it is definitely the best fkin original novel out there ....novel's in power ranking is complete joke compare to this one ..although there were frequent gramatical errors story was perfect with some loopholes character were fkin awesome unlike those 1 dimensional character in almost every wuxia out there . hope people read this more and since it has anti villain ..if you love jp harem novels then its not for ya . ( I WANT MC TO GROW SOME HEART AGAIN)

A story about a man who lost a battle and got imprisoned. He destroys his body and escapes with his soul to other realms to plan his revenge. The fun of the story is his journey through the different worlds as he corrupts,manipulate and devour destinies. The story is well written and the characters are well developed.

Great Story. Character: You've written a villain protagonist well. Many authors write "evil" protagonists who are really very dark anti-heroes. Part of what makes him a fun villain to read about is that he is pragmatically evil. Not "let me steal candy from a baby or murder this person just because I can" evil. I actually want to root for Dirge. His perspective and commentary on his hosts and their associates are always fun to read about. You also seem to acknowledge many xianxia cliches in-story, which makes the whole story a little self-aware. The fact that you established Blood River (forgotten his original name) as an unreliable narrator and gave a nice twist on the "trash of the clan becomes genius" cliche was also a fascinating development. Story: The second arc seems to establish that each host will come from a different background. This adds some nice variety to the story, I hope it continues. Story Development: No filler present everything which happens during a chapter moves the plot forward Stability of updates: Steady updates as long as I've started reading it. Writing Quality: Head and shoulders above most of the grammar on web novel and royal road. I keep looking for English originals in this genre but their grammar is often too poor for me to tolerate reading. While I feel some of the translated works probably have enough lost in translation that some parts sound awkward. I suspect reading so much of the grammar which is on webnovel and royalroad may be ruining my own. Thank god for Grammarly. XD

bro I just the entire first volume and for a fanfiction to be this good I am just shocked I love the MC and the idea of stealing destiny from wannabe MCs is just great the way ridge manipulates river for me who is a great fan of antiheros "leylin from warlock of the magus world is my favorite". Especially smart ones, I jsut hope that I can see more direct action from the MC

When I first started reading this book I thought I would be a generic original novel with a lacklustre plot, flat characters and dull writing with a unique premise but it totally blew me away from those expectations. This is an epic story with an interesting premise carried by a whole host of multi-dimensional realistic characters pushed along by an ever so slowly constructed world that's revealed to the reader piece by piece. It's full of schemes and plans separated by brutal, bloody fast-paced action scenes. The story follows ebon dirge, a powerful assassin with a murky past in his journey after having failed to assassinate a heavenly emperor due to his lack of destiny (basically luck and plot armour). He searches on how to obtain enough destiny to be able to kill a god. Its a fun story without any cliches and those that do exist are masterful, and there are more twists here than in a twisties packet. The mc, ebon dirge is a villain, plain and ****** so if you don't like that stuff don't read it.
