I love this story! It is like a typical Xianxia, but with a few twists to make it more enjoyable for a western audience. It has far less filler, with chapter 82 correlating to around chapter 400 in a typical Xianxia, and the world seems relatively well thought out, it is clear that there are more details about the world that aren't being told to avoid an overly large info dump, but it doesn't feel like the Author ever pulls things out of his ass. There are a few downsides typical to web novels, the grammar is pretty good but not professional quality by any means, and the characters aren't really well fleshed out (still better than a typical web novel). Ultimately I would recommend this story to anyone who likes Xianxia stories, as it feels like a well-executed no-fluff Xianxia with a western twist.

I've read quite a lot of original novel either on Webnovel or royalroadl, and this one really got good prospect. Without much spoiler we can see there is a feeble and quite stupid MC at first with a mentality that in quite sure a lot of readers won't like, but because of his meeting with that legend and the adventures that follow, the MC experience a growth in a lot of lacking area and become in the end a MC that I'm sure every reader like to follow. I've read till the latest chapter (111 at review time) and I'm quite surprised at how well done the characters design is, it is extremely rare in original novels to see a flawless design like that 👌. My only regret is that the world background is too complex to understand right now, I guess the more the story unveil the more we will understand about it, but for the details given until now, I must say I'm totally lost 😵. But it doesn't matter as all the good points totally outweigh this one. Anyway, author really talented 👌 I sincerely hope to see more from him 👏.

I am sure that author has something against woman because 90 percent of the villain are women and they not only goes against mc and his friend for stupid reasons even their ends are horrible than male villain with torture and grousome death in the hands of mac and his friends even Mc's character is sometimes questionable and goes against his own word. However, this is all in my opinion as the story is overall good and best book there about cultivation. You should give it a try.

My main problem is that MC is an idiot. He is someone who shouts " I am sovereign" and makes enemies left and right. Does someone becomes a sovereign if they believe they are a sovereign? No. Does a king makes enemies left and right? No. MC should have the Dao to be the sovereign but not sovereign right now.(Sovereign ascension) Another point is that although he keeps shouting he is awesome, he is a pawn dancing to the tunes of others. He is basically a puppet who doesn't even understand that he is a puppet. Although there is character development, MC doesn't seem to learn although our Author tells us he does learn from each experience. In the first arc he suffered due to Greed but still does the same in even volume 4/5. He willingly join schemes of others due to his arrogance. Author also destroyed both follower characters. In the beginning, they had a serious disposition, but turned into clowns "perhaps dues to MC's dao".

MOARRRRRR CHAPTERSSSSS! This light novel does have the popular wuxia/xianxia plot to it BUT...! The way fight scenes and general MC epicness are portrayed in this makes my brain tingle, the style and quality of writing is really good and more than enough to keep me wanting more 😁😁😁

This is one of my all time favorite novels, and I am so happy to see you updating again, at first I stopped reading because I knew that there was a cliff at the end, but now that there isn't, I will read this book till coronavirus fades into history. Thank you.

I’ve enjoyed my time spent reading this, I came upon it randomly and once I started reading I got hooked. Even though there was a time where we weren’t getting as many chapters I still couldn’t wait for more, thank you for the experience.
