Harbingers of change HoC

The world of Elham is one of power. A world where the strong preys on the weak and dictates the rules. It is said that in the world of Elham kingdoms are built in years, empires in decades but that both can be destroyed in a matter of days.
Within Elham, two kinds of individuals cohabit with one another close but yet with disparate rights, obligations, and duties. The commoners are but mere tools that live to work and make the kingdoms and empires run and, the elevated ones, the true rulers of the world. The elevated ones pull the strings and make the world turn. They are the sources of war and the real weapons of the various kingdoms and empires. A nation without a single elevated one cannot exist as; otherwise, it would be brought to its knees, invaded and turned to ashes for the glory of the kingdoms surrounding this helpless nation.
For the past thousands of years, the existing kingdoms and empires have, in spite of such environment, been experiencing an era of peace which is believed to last until the harbingers of change emerge.
