I have a sneaking suspicion that, firstly, the ratmen know of our MC and are following his movements, and second, that they are not intervening for some unknown reason. Perhaps they think nothing of him? Or the more likely one for me, they don't want to intrude on his growth. I think we may see them work to make him a new Clanmember, if not the leader one day.

Ooh as I recall he has the option to add followers and since these powerful Ratmen have limited speech abilities, he may very well be very useful to them...
