Resorb is totally a word, but a very technical one that is so out of use it's marked as a spelling error. Recommend changing to "absorb" or "break down" if you absolutely need a synonym, but as the word itself doesn't really fit an entropy decreasing activity, a word like "reverse" might be a better bet. UPDATE: After reading ahead, I see why you wanted an absorby-type word. Any of the words above should work.
