I want to like this story since there are so many positive reviews but it is really hard to understand. The author uses antiquated names for all the royals without giving any kind of explanation of who or what the titles & names mean. Which makes it super hard for someone like me who knows absolutely nothing about ancient (chinese?) royal hierarchy. All the confusing names & titles gave dampened my excitement of reading this story. I'm going to try to continue reading this. I hope it gets less confusing.
Author, please consider editing these early chapters with some kind of descriptions for all the ancient royal titles. Not everyone understands. I had to stop reading every other paragraph to try to search on google the meaning of the royal titles. It really makes this novel hard to enjoy.

Truly a hidden gem! Gave it a read as I found nothing else but fell in love with it! It's intriguing !! Makes you read every sentence and keeps your eyes glued to the screen! FL has a strong character and the story is wonderfully woven around her. Highly recommended !!
Just hope that the author won't abandon this wonderful story.

A fast-paced read that has action from the start. There's a strong female lead with skills. An interesting world and engaging plot. The writing style is good and easy to follow. A fun read.

As of chapter 70: If you are looking for a novel fantasy romance with some magic/cultivation type elements, this story is likely for you. Overall, the writing is good and the pace is steady. The romance is a slow burn and it is still unclear who the ML is, but there are definitely romantic elements throughout. Apart from typical grammar, syntax, and wrong words found in translations, my one real gripe is that the author has a bad habit of writing “ah” in almost every chapter, with almost every character, multiple times in a paragraph. By excessive, I mean one sentence alone will use that expression 2+ times, and then the following sentence be used again bu a different character, until every charcter seems to have this verbal tick. The excessive use becomes distracting and somewhat irriating after a while; however, overlooking that, the plot and rest of the writing is decent enough to continue.

This is amongst the few of a historical background that intrigued me with no chapter skipping.the fl really interesting & i really like it when she improve herself despite the attraction she felt to the emperor. ** author,hope fore more releases (i am a bit selfiah though currently you are updating regularly [img=recommend])

This on a whole is a good story, it keeps the reader interested and invested in the novel itself. There is the mystery, the intrigue of the players, the humor and the fantasy all surrounding a FL who meets most of the requirements of a brains, beauty and body persona. As for the ML, so far the author has been teasing the reader as to his true identity, all I care about is that he's a sincere person who matches the FL well. This story will stay in my library as long as it keeps me interested.

Very well written. Original story set in ancient times. There is transmigration. Lots Of mystery. I am at 117 and ML is still a Mystery! FL is not completely Mary Sue but her development is not slow. love this book!

This is truly a hidden gem. If it wasn't for the book appearing in my 7-day challenge, I would never have found this and never knew what I would have been missed!!
The writing is beautiful and it is one of the rare books that captivated my interest and got me hooked just after 2 chapters. I could NOT put it down and damn with the challenge! 🤣
The Author manages to invoke such strong feelings in you. And from the start, the ML is a douche-bag BUT unlike the numerous novels in WN, you can see he is human. There are hints and looks into his heart, and you can see that he isn't truly evil not worth redemption.
But I still want him to suffer, though.
The FL is strong, and the way she seeks to find her way and grow strong is part of the charm but what I love is how the Author manages to explain why this modern transmigrated woman would have feelings for the ML and fighting to gain revenge at the same time.
Even the "villain" is not so evil. She did bad things, yes, but who wouldn't in her position?
I just love it.
