And the emotional trainwreck strikes again. Why use words like 'soul crushing' when in reality it is just 'slightly'. He even spat out an expensive potion just because he couldn't control his emotions. If I were the developer of this game I would have programmed every NPC to slap players to death when they do stuff like spitting out gifts (unless this is the fault of a crappy translator of course)
I really wish that the translators can make Qin Ruo look less like an emotional trainwreck when fighting someone who is stronger than him. First of all it's just a game so why get so emotionally invested in it that it looks like the mc is an emotional trainwreck, it's too unrealistic and it makes it very difficult to judge if a situation is really as dangerous as the complaining of the mc make it looks or of it is not that bad. Just remove some of the exaggeration words like terrifying and extreme. It really reduces the pleasure of reading this novel (I'd the mc was not written like this the novel could have become my favorite but now I'm only very irritated by the exaggerated emotional state of the mc)
I think a secret merchant npc is one of the best npc's you can find in a game. They give you money, special items, and don't try to kill you. Other npc's at most give you a quest. And after those are done, bye bye!
