Great story!! My second time reading it and it was just as thrilling. This time around, it’s a good thing I didn’t have to wait for chapters to be available.

I never loved a novel as this before... this story is one of the best stories I have read so far on this app..

Honestly... I haven't been able to finish this but can confidently say it's one of the best and most well-developed novels I've read here. The FL is incredibly smart and the ML supports her through everything. They're both cunning and they compliment each other really well. The only reason I haven't finished this is because it's really long and I get tired easily.

I read to chapter 200 so far. I will continue reading, but I don’t understand the complete love for this novel. The power scheme is confusing and not covered very well. The fighting style is very poor. No one uses their spirits in the beginning of the book with any intelligence. Spirits have their own power rating and a red ring could have a violet level soul contract. The villians are VERY stupid so far. They do and allow nonsensical things. The side characters are also stupid. They allow her to control them and everything happens because they “didn’t listen to her” or some other nonsense. Everyone other than the MC is an idiot. The new emperor agrees to give her an item and she abandons him to torture because he doesn’t want to immediately kill the other group of people. Rather than ratting on her for having the item he endures a day full of torture. Then the female MC mocks him for it…. Just not how relationships work in real life.

I really love this story! If you're still contemplating reading, do it. The mc is a perfect example of ruthless but lovable. ML is shameless too. It might seem cliche, but when you read it there's a lot of thought put into the arcs. It's a cultivation novel and a historical novel, the cultivation system is interesting and quite honestly very fun. There's a lot of comedy, and it's engaging. The relationship is slow, but eventually there's no misunderstanding. I've reread this three times going on my fourth and I have no regrets. Also some characters here are from another novel (don't remember the name) but the only spoiler to that one is at the very end of this one.

I absolutely 💯 love this story and recommend it to anyone who enjoys dynamic characters, thrilling adventure, impactful face slapping, and an atypical love story. As it is a translation, there are some minor vocabulary issues, but they rarely detract from the story itself. It's more than worth the read. I am so grateful for this HEA, and the story goes along with The Good-For-Nothing Seventh Miss by the same author and translator. I'm so grateful to have been able to read this book 🥰🥰🥰🫠

It's finished! The longest book I have read this far... but every coins worth! The characters, story plot, writing, and details in story are all on point. A very recommended book!

Warning... warning... this book is addicted, you will not stop until you finish 😅. One of my favorite book in WN for historical genre. Good job Author and translator 👍😘

Interesting novel that held my attention until the end, but very mixed overall. Some parts I couldn’t put down while others were horrible and I had to skip over a few chapters. The good parts are the overall character arc, where the heroine grows as a person and becomes more of a human being than an emotionless robot. The MC’s relationship with the ML is also well developed, with a clear progression over the story. Another good thing are the intricate plots within each “chapter” of the story. They were well set up, no repetition, each dilemma was unique and I couldn’t figure out how the MC was going to resolve them and I had to keep reading as I couldn’t wait to find out. Most of these plots were resolved by logical solutions that I could understand and agree with. Now the not so good parts; some of the plots are resolved in ridiculous ways, by the author literally pulling a solution out of his/her a**. Where the MC or the enemy suddenly pulls out a new ability/spell/weapon that completely breaks the rules and was never mentioned before, just to ”resolve” that current problem. The author doesn’t spend much time fleshing out the rules of the world other than the power levels, and that’s ok, because the rules don’t matter, they’re subservient to the narrative. However for me that detracts from the story as I can’t get involved in the novel when I know the author could just upset what I think I know about the world at any moment. The worst part for me about this book though, is oddly enough, the “romance” part, given this is a romance novel. The first part of this book takes place when the MC is 12 years old. She meets the ML at this point and their “relationship” develops. Reading any part of this stage just made my skin crawl, especially when the author writes about how the (Thousand year old) ML looks seductively at the (12 year old) MC. IF The MC were my daughter, it would be shotgun time, and I don’t mean a wedding neither. There doesn’t seem to be any reason for this, as later on the story just jumps forward 5 years, so that she’s at least a decent age to carry on the relationship (even if she would still not be of legal age in some countries!). Why not start the relationship at that stage instead of at an age when most kids would just be playing with dolls? Sure, mentally the MC may be a grown woman, but that’s just a cop out. He’s still a dirty old man! 👴🏻 As I said at the beginning, interesting novel, but mixed. Good enough to read but not a keeper. In fact, I never want to read this novel ever again. I’m going to go and scrub my brain now to get that paedophilic rubbish out of my head.

This novel gave me a roller-coaster of emotions. Also, even without snu snu, you'll definitely stay for the plot. The characters are lovable and they're well-described as if you know them personally. I love power couples and depiction of love, friendship, family...that go beyond words. I just ❤️❤️❤️ this novel!

I like the stories of this author. The FL transmigrates and takes revenge, no chance for enemies. She cares for her friends und the mysterious male lead is quite intriguing.

I got into this book because of the Webnovel. What surprised me the most was how Jun Wu Yao wasn't involved as much as he is in the Webnovel. I can't wait to see what the calm coolheaded ruthless Jun Wu Xie does next.

If there is anything more than 5 stars I'm willing to give this book. It's sooooooo beautifully written the plot twist is something to keep you up at night. Story line is good but is to long for my preference. I like the main character, is different and independent. The end is a little crazy but it is ok. In general is good

Who don't know which book start reading this is the first and foremost book that makes you involve in story from the beginning to the end and its ending is also amazing 😘😘❤️❤️

What I liked: 1. Scheming/Revenge. This book has one of the most satisfying face-slappings of the entire genre. This novel is all about watching the MC scheme, and seeing the enemy unknowingly fall into her trap. Seriously, the way everything is set up makes the enemy's downfall feel so good. 2. Plot twists. A lot of the arcs end in an amazing plot twist that just blows your mind. 3. Well written. The translator does an amazing job (read the translations up to ~500). And the Chinese author's writing is pretty decent too. 4. MC Character growth. It was nice to see MC slowly open up and fully trust those around her. 5. Page turner. Some arcs start slow. But besides that, it's rapid action all the way through. What could be improved: 1. Flat side characters. I had a hard time telling the side characters apart from each other until 1000 chapters in. 2. Ending was cliche. It felt disappointing, since I saw it coming from a mile away. But it could have been worse. 3. Slow romance. As in love-interest-appears-once-every-200-chapters kind of slow. But when it does happen, it's adorable. 4. Arcs can start slowly. The first ~20 chapters of some arcs feel like an info dump. I know it's setting the scene for the face slapping later, but sometimes it was a real chore to get through.
