Honestly couldn’t really make it to the good parts people are talking about but I guess 100 pages isn’t enough to get interested. So 100 pages in which should be enough to establish a basic background and get me interested this did one really well and lost me on the other. The world itself is pretty detailed as they lay it out and there’s lots of character building. But everything just takes way to long just simply leaving to go somewhere is at least 3-6 pages just discerning leaving or moving in or anything else mundane gets dragged out for way longer then truthfully needs. There’ also just not direction or anything to make me feel for this Mc he has no goals partially because basically no time passes in 100 pages his personality outside of a serious fight leaves much to want the side characters are the real interesting part so far and The Whole spirit training is just barely starting after all this time

Worst novel I have ever read It was good until the author killed the main waifu and made us think he was gonna revive her for the next 600 chapters thats the only reason I kept reading it’s disappointing

I‘m only on chapter 50 and already aware of its completion. However,I cannot stand the dialogues being written so causally, especially the adults, they are centuries old yet they talk like children! Put some actually REALISM in it, granted it’s a cultivations novel. And enough of the dialogues ending in exclamations marks, we don’t need to yelling in EVERY conversation. And don’t jokingly wave off injury in “friendly” meetings. There is a time and place for everything to get SERIOUS. And yes, I just saw the COMEDY TAG as I wrote this so that that explains a lot. I’m not sure if all cultivation novels are immensely exaggerated such as this one, but it’s certaintly not my cup of tea. Now my intention wasn’t just to bash you for absolutely tourting me with such a read and cringing at a ANY possible character interaction along and above all else making me have hope in the novel, but just disappointment in the end. I almost never EVER write a review this however needed it. I have a lot more to say, but I think I got it out my system…. for now. I do hope it will get better as I read the through the chapters. Probably not. But other than that just a little helpful criticism to you. Add the basis of reality in it. -I‘m just gonna put this here in advance for who knows. Edit:

Trash I liked this novel but he kills the number 1 love interest and gives false hope that they will revive her

i don't mind slow pace but the humour is so juvenile and exaggerated, there is no majesty of those who are higher ranked, they act like fools

This novel is not bad ( i stop at the chapter 49) but the rhythm is too slow so that I continue. The author writes right but he lack experience

the romance was thrashy in my opinion, however fighting scenes were top tier especially in the academy arc, the writer should focus on that in his other novels

Great story to read. If you are looking for something to read while cutting some onions, then it’s not a bad choice. Sent me on a rollercoaster, but I loved the ride. Great characters, interesting world, and easy to understand. Plot was pretty good, took some turns I didnt expect, but overall i recommend to anyone that is looking to binge a relatively short story with some dark elements but happy overtone.

The story and character development were amazing, even though some times the story appeared to be stagnant the author used it for the better

If I have to be sincere, I read this novel till the end thanks to the characters around the MC... his friends, his teacher/master, his lover. As for the MC and the plot development? I felt disappointed and betrayed many times. The novel is well written with even the 'power-level' being well balanced. Sadly, I read and closed the novel for nothing more but curiosity and hope that the author won't mess or kill with the characters I so much loved in the story. The novel itself starts very slow-paced, but that is rather refreshing. The author knows well how to write the everyday events, training routine, common and funny days, etc. The first marking event of the novel that makes the MC completely abandon his 'home' in midst of the loss of his loved ones is what annoyed me from the start. How I can say... gave me that, "Oh~how convenient" vibe? That was the first forced part that I felt, and sadly many more appeared. The MC is TOO slow in maturing. We reach a point of the novel where he despite being aware of the dangers and 'loving' his friend and family, time and time again bought them to danger that could be avoided by chasing in the future when he was stronger (after all, the MC is aware of his own genius). Strangely, while he always ignores this act of neglecting his loved ones, he always breaks with random people or those that wanted to harm, r*ape or kill his family and friends. Of course, the character regretting or hesitating to kill a person is normal, but... the author messed so much with the forced events that he felt 'necessary', that the MC becomes something hateful, at the very least, for me. Concluding, is an amazing and complete story, but with adevelopment and ending that made me hate the novel even while living the characters.

This is one of the best books on the this site I've ever read, it's has a tiny similarity to combat continent but It's not that big of a similarity, plus has a very stable updates, great combat design, and 10/10 world background[img=recommend]

This is my second review on this book anyway when i started this journey and i heard about immortal realm and things like those i thought that after he reached immortality then he would have to reach godhood and that the realms would go on without coming to an end but it did something incredible (for me at least) it ended it didn't try to get the story to go on by forcing it to become something boring by using the clichés of wuxia/xinxia novels and that made an impression to me

What's the drive for power? Is it only for self-preservation, greed or the glory. This is answered in the synopsis of Shin. It shows the power that family bonds between non-blood related people can bring forth.

I really like how you develop and finish the story. So far this is one of the best stories that I found here in Webnovel. And the ending really shocked me.

The novel in itself is not bad, but after 200 chapters the author started not respecting his own settings. Everyone power up so fast to be ridiculus, even a simple cannonfodder B have his cultivation speed increased well over that of the mc without sny reason just to make them fight once. All the people around the mc become super genius without any real reason. Those kinds of things are some of the ones that I most despise in cultivation novels (the others are harem, plot armor, the young master template, etc).

The book and characters are great the story development is a little slow but overall it has almost no flaws. The one thing I would change is adding the tsundere tag. Seriously add it.

It's incredibly slow paced which isn't a problem if a lot actually happened and the humor feels forced after reading for awhile it's genuinely not bad but I feel like it's meant for pre teens it took me 73 chapters to feel it out well enough to know it's not going anywhere I like or care about
