great story very fun to read, some translations are quite bad into english but that is understandable and they aren't very frequent at all. There isn't too much filler but the author does have a tendency to reiterate hong dalis personality among other things way too much throughout the story hopefully for future novels he stops padding wordcount by doing that but otherwise absolutely worth reading through.

The novel's plot is different from the norm. I like that its plot is solid for the first volume read. The world setting and character progression and introduction are also great so far. Great leisurely read.

This is well a fun novel that you can read if you have nothing to do. read like 4-5 chapters a day and well it's a good pass time. if you are looking for a great novel with nice story development and characters then it's not a good story this is only good as a well slightly bland pass time and the reason for my high rating is cuz I have a lot of time and it was a good pass time

This novel is a fun read kinda thing and will have elements that are nationalism i suppose which can be a turn off for some readers. Great to see that it's been fully translated. Thank you for translating all these years.

This novel is great and full of comedic vibes. For those complaining about the prodigal nature of the mc, I just have one question for you DID YOU READ THE NOVEL'S TITLE. I've read this novel from beginning till the end and there was no dull moment. Those who say all he knows is to spend his parents money without thinking of the future didn't read the annual family meeting chapter at all, they also didn't read how his father used his help and luck in the chamber of commerce. They didn't see him make money from films. Everything he did was useful in the end and helped generate money one way or the other. The spending he did increased his parents health. It was further revealed that there were others with systems. This led to a greater plot. And in the later chapters we were made to realize that Hong Dali knew what he did when buying those businesses and doing things which appeared unprofitable in other people's eyes. His carefree persona hid his intelligence. The seen which touched me most was Lin Chuyin's tears. I admire Dali for helping her cry. His promise to her moved me. To be sincere I actually cried. All she ever wanted was to laugh and cry like normal. My only disappointment was that she didn't have many scenes like the other girls. Although Dali married five women in the end , he didn't go around picking them up like other stallion protagonists. Each of these girls went through trials with him. The first chapters might make the book seem too light-hearted but there is a deeper plot ahead. I wasn't too fun of Tang Muxin , I preferred Li Nianwei to her.

Maybe i have too high expectation on these kind of novel? The early translation is garbage with inconsistent numbering that they didn’t even bother to edit it, i don’t want give money to these kind of translator, the mc personality have downward trend from an orphan who has another chance, to i don’t care as long as i can spend money so my peepee become bigger, to i don’t care about everything else as long as i’m spending money and having fun, but don’t touch my people or i’ll have revenge… disappointing, read if you want an idiotic mc with no redeeming quality other than being lucky

The best book I have read couple years ago and I still remember every event. It really made me to read more and became the person I am. Great work and good story.

* Not for serious mature readers * The MC is just too stupid, like he doesn't know how to squander money. Can you believe it? He constantly afraid that they would guess he's not the same person (transmigrated) if he said the wrong thing in a really stupid way. He is taking insults from a stupid girl (that needs his help) because he needs her to squander money. Come on now, just burn it or throw the money if you're that stupid to squander meaningfully. And the guy felt like committing suicide because his thing is small.

There are moments when the MC shows signs of intelligence, but those are rarely needed in the plot. hes just basicaly being spoon fed by his parents which doesnt really make reading this intersting since he is not squandering his own money. Also since its a harem, NPC like girls keep appearing for no rhyme or reason

This book was HORRIBLE because the execution was absoulute garbage and one of the main reasons I hate thi story is that he squanders his parents wealth not his own like a novel that has a somewhat similar premise to this but over 100 x better is "losing money to be a tycoon" because HE SPENDS HIS OWN MONEY (And systems but we dont count that)

Actually, the title speaks for itself. “Prodigal Son” he spends money in a extravagant wasteful way. His mission is to earn a loss not to gain money. He doesn’t spend to “earn”. He is a Son so he goes to his parents for money (he will have his own money maker later). They don’t mind anyways as long as their son is healthy. I don’t get people giving it 1 star because you hate the MC for being wasteful of money and not thinking where to spend it or the story because it’s not their cup of tea. Firstly, it’s a novel, don’t get it mixed up with reality because they write it to give the readers an escape from reality. He is a prodigal, meant to waste money on unnecessary things or just useless stuff but he spends it on animals, people he cares about and his own entertainment. Second and lastly, don’t read it if it’s not your cup of tea and like rate 1 star after reading like 3 chapters just to stop. I completely read this till 800 chapters before reviewing. It’s comedy and fun but it’s predictable so sometimes, the fun is ruined if you are right but there’s always a twist and surprises in what he does.

eww~ depicts the characters of Chinese people, they oppressed and threatened their own people to get what they want, yuck~ so this how Chinese government acts, shame on you. A bunch of old men tricking a seventeen year old boy to get the inventions he hold? After I read this my impression of china has go down to drain, boooo!!!

It was a joy to read this novel till the end. I don't know if you all liked or not, for me it was a pleasure to go up and down with the MC.I saw that some ppl left a bad review only after reading a chapters ,all i have to say for all of those ones is...you du have a poor judgement

Yeah. It was fun, but it was too slow paced for me. I got bored in the 200s, before starting again and reading to the 1200s. That is when I started to get bored again. I had no motivation to keep reading. Author should work on keeping readers, as the story isn’t very funny

This novel would have been better without the system it is fucking useless if he did not squandered the money and just pay for gym or something or training intrustuc he could increase his attributes but no he just get scammed by the system because he is fucking dumb

This book is awesome! I feel so relaxed when I read this. Most of the things is always funny. The mc is very interesting too. I enjoy the development of the book.

There is one thing i need to say and that is... THIS NOVEL IS SO FREAKIN GOOD I COULDNT GET ENOUGH OF IT AFTER HAVING SUCH A GREAT TIME READING IT!!! I really like the main character Hong Dali and that how he was super Kind hearted and protective of his family and friends. (A great trait) Anyway I’m now looking for similar novels like this so please recommend some for me!

I absolutely loved the story line, the action, and the romance. I got hooked on this book when it was free for a day, but i absolutely loved it and I’m glad I was able to read it.
