The guns of old shouldn’t be equipped to everyone and just focus on a squadron that can move around for support. How can murica lose in a fight with guns? Author should’ve just let them win that battle instead. Reading about how mc wins all the time due to luck is getting boring. Especially when author will over glorify the Chinese after that. Not that I don’t like someone supporting their own people it’s just that it’s getting annoying when it happens all the time and especially when they diss others while at it. Which also happens every time.

How old is he? “Be more magnanimous you are a man” who says this? Are they really over 19 years old? This is dumb. The interactions and everything is so childish and unreasonable, so FAKE feeling. As any military defense manual states, including Sun Tzu's Art of War, a defender in good position (such as a castle or fortified town) can & will succeed against 5 to 10 times their number. So for the author to say that Jack didnt have enough men was wrong especially when talking about walls a few kilometers long as stated in earlier chapters. The attackers would be spread out to much over even 1km with only 6000 men versus 2500. With or without guns of their own, the defenders would always have supreme advantage... unless the sapped the walls & detonated their gunpowder reserves to knock it down. Stupid author or stupid raiders, take your pick. Not a realistic scenario at all

Yo know I actually respect this system, although America hasn't spent an entire decade without war since our founding with the isolation period of 1935-1940 during the great depression being the longest we've gone without war America has no idea history in siege warfare. The closest we can go is Fort warfare and even then Forts unlike Castle's are more military oriented not great for civilians. So even if America has been at war for over 90% of its existence if thrown I'm to as primitive standards as the countries with longer histories like China, Egypt and others i think we'd be at a huge disadvantage... Its nice this story hasn't dived head first into nationalist propaganda and pandering and actually gives a nod of appreciation to its rivals
