In my mind, the problems with the players aren't only the fact that they could betray you - I believe, potentially even more dangerous than that - the discrimination that the players would show to the nocs would be bad. They could start taking them lightly and just continue to be rude to them and in the future, I could see a revolt happening. I'm also not looking forward to guns, I've loved this novel so much because of the Cold Weapons, mind you, adding in Thermal Weapons would make all NPC Generals, War advisors, strategists, and potentially every member in his military totally redundant as its not just the weapons that change, but strategy and the way in which the two parties fight is heavily impacted.. Man, I love this novel (except for the Harem) but I hope that this doesn't go through..
