Haha. Seriously? Funny name. Im a johor people. But, just one thing i can't accept. WE MALAY NEVER TREAT CHINESE AND INDIAN PEOPLE AS SECOND CLASS CITIZEN.. well, that's all. I know this just a fictional.. urghh
Urgh... This novel supposedly filled with war strategy and war hero. It suck that the author get lazy. He go on and on and on and on about Chinese history and historic figure but Where's Singaporean general or civil servant? Lazy research. do you know outside of China we have our own culture and history? I bet my left ball he will talk bad about Indonesia next. Just like Malaysian he will say Indonesia is racist toward Chinese while simultaneously talk about superiority of Chinese culture. Japan gonna be next, then Vietnam (somehow Chinese author hate Vietnam from several novel I read) Korean and India is on list too I think. When you give musket to US instead of UK I know you'll never be historically accurate but it seem like you don't even try.
Well i could say in malaysia, there is unique culture as there are alot of race in malaysia. But still, everyone is respecting each other. Even if some news says about negetive stories, well u can even see that kind of stories in every country. Heck, those countries have the same race but still fighting with each other. Most evident is china. Same race, same culture and same tradition but still have opression on some minorities. This are facts. For this fiction novel, i agree that the author need to say their race chinese is being bully by others. Why? Because how can the author keep making the plot if the author follow 100% the history. I dont mind anyways afterall this is the author story not mine. I just going to read some fiction.
Han duya is not a malay name. Malay name usually has the Bin or Binti Just as explained. However i understand that its hard to search for information in malaysia or johor in this novel.
The Author is a racist. And looks down on ASEAN group.... Feels a little akward btw and on my part reading this....i feel the urge to defend my country and roll my eyes. Hhahaha
their name are weird,,,,,not actually Malay like...the bin and bint'i' part is partially correct....dude, Sabah totally far away from Johor, and johor people not a good representative for Malay in Malaysia, should use the Kelantanese since they can be everywhere in Malaysia...which the main reason for obesity in Malaysia..cuz they like sweet thing..
Okay i thk im starting to get familiar with the author writing style...well as a Malaysian, i dun mind.. it's his novel... And abt the location of Johor Putrajaya Sabah n so on, i thk Johor is the country and Putrajaya is the imperial city and the rest is lord territory... It's not modern day era so it's kinda make sense laa...
