Good history of mine warfare in general, however it fails to mention that the early models were not dependable, could not be triggered reliably, were not sealed properly so gunpowder got soaked and other issues. Quality control was a big problem you know. Granted, #7 might have fixed those issue for OS but in historical China & other countries mine warfare was not as perfect as the author states it to be.

There was a war in 1905. Argentine Revolution of 1905. Did not find an indication of water mines being used by either side

what american 1905 war? and “mines” weren’t used until the civil war
