Don't worry about people getting annoyed with your main character. Most main characters in the novels on this site are already developed characters with little to no possible improvement in their mentality from the get go. A couple of years ago, novels with flawed characters were common, but people got fed up with reading about the cringey beginning part of the character and just wanted to skip to the determined, bad*ss developed character. I think that it's really refreshing to see a character actually be flushed out and have a personality that isn't a carbon copy of one of the five "acceptable" Main character archetypes.

Good novel. It's nice to see reasonable MC.
