Uriel, a knight, is given the task of slaying a dragon. She and her company succeeds, but at the cost of her life.

Rather than dying, she finds herself resurrected in the mysterious realm of Ebonus, a land shrouded with mystery and danger. What's more, she finds that she has also been given the mantle of Overlord.
