From a seemingly endless dream, he was awakened from his black coffin with an uncontrollable bloodlust.

And when his mind came to, he found the corpses of two humans. He had drained their blood and with it, absorbed scattered fragments of their memories.

Their memories were foreign to him, but he had none to call his own. All memories of his past life, it seemed to him, had been forgotten, perhaps lost to the nebulous dream he had been trapped within.

"Who am I? What am I?" He asked himself. "What is my purpose?"
